I bought this iron just over a year ago. The temperature setting dial has always felt a bit wonky to me (it wobbled), but I chalked it up to my never having an Oliso before. Also, the steam feature never quite worked - water just dripped out the steam holes. But I rarely needed steam so just lived with it. Three weeks ago the temp dial just began spinning freely and the iron stopped heating up. I contacted Customer Service and got an email response in less than 2 hours. "Emma" wrote back. She asked for a description of what the iron was doing and a short (10-15 second) video. Again, only 2 hours later, she sent me a postage-paid label and asked me to ship her the defective iron. A replacement iron was shipped and is waiting for me at home today. Wow! In this day and age, to have excellent client care like this is truly amazing. I can't say enough about Emma and Oliso for taking care of my problem! Oliso has a customer for life :)

Like that it’s small but gets really hot when needed. Only thing is I wish it was cordless since I use in my craft room and have so many corded things already. Love the color and the plate to cover and also set it on.

The iron works great. When I first got it, the steam did not work. I called the 800 number and that woman told me that it needed to be primed. Once I did that the steam worked perfectly they should have that you need to prime it in the directions.

Received the first iron but, after a few days of using, I realized that the steam function was not working. Emailed Oliso, received a reply within 24 hours but no suggestion in the response corrected the steam problem. I returned the iron via Amazon and received a new one the next day. Thankfully, it works properly. So far, here's what I like: The size is wonderful when handling the small pieces for children's garments. The steam feature is gentle but effective. The silicone mat is great and I like the fact that the iron can be left on it between uses. What I'm unsure about: The price is hefty for the iron's functionality. The iron has its place in my sewing/ironing/crafting tool arsenal but it does not replace a full size iron. It may be a great iron for travel but an assessment will have to wait until travel is a reality. The steam is gentle and may have limitations.

PERFECTION. I use a hot hot hot iron because I’m too impatient to wait 3-5 seconds for a good press. I’ve had many travel irons. Particularly the one w collapsing handle that permanently collapsed on 3 irons, This Oliso is the hottest of hot irons on the #2 setting. I always used highest level of heat which would be 3. It’s comfortable for osteoarthritis hands but would be happier if it weighed less like the cheap black.decker. Iron is a super smooth Teflon n the iron glides over your fabric. I don’t intend to use water as I’d be turning iron off n on all day. Take time to read directions. The settings on the iron r difficult for 73 yr old eyes to see intend to use a marker. I also got a matching case. Be careful. The one w mesh in top fits the oliso perfectly One drawback is that it isn’t an auto shutoff, but sometimes the auto shutoff is a pain. I just changed out my extension cord n just power ET off
