Overall Good, but two problems found,
Many reviews said this was too short, but that was not a problem for me since I sit low on a ground pad. It’s reasonably built for its light weight, good color and pattern, and also big enough since it’s supposed to be for compact carrying.Deducted a star because it’s not possible to set up without getting a loud pop from each of the 3 hubs as each section is opened. You’d better not set this up close to your bird. The 2nd star deducted is because the third time I took it down 2 rods came out of their hub sleeves. Neither rod broke, and they were easy to put back into their sleeves as a temporary fix. Now that I’m back home I’m about to hot glue them back in place, which I believe will be a permanent fix, at least for these 2. We’ll see about the other 13 rods that haven’t come loose yet..3 years since my initial 3 star review, and I should update it. My 2 star deductions were not fair. The setup noise from the hubs is not that bad, and the minor rod/sleeve repair has held fine, with no other problems. This deserves 5 stars. Surprisingly compact and lightweight for the coverage it provides. Easy to setup and take down.I see nothing in the design or quality that I would change.

Fast blind
Works pretty well. Always keep it with me in my pack. Fast way to setup a ground blind and not to heavy.

Great blind for the price but
The blind is very light and breaks down and packs easy but it does sit low with no way built in to brush it in but still a good base to your cover. I don't see how 2 people could fit behind it as it is small but it's enough for 1. I would buy it again based on the value.

Lite and easy to carry
The Ameristep Throwdown Ground Blind was lite, compact and easy to pack in for my deer hunt. I was able to set it up quickly and relatively easy. It provided good concealment from a ground position.

no complaints
haven't used in the field yet by my out of the package impression is that it will be perfect for run and gun deer or turkey hunting. Easy to set up and pack, wider than I anticipated (good thing) but a little shorter than I anticipated. Will work best with a low-to-the-ground turkey hunting style chair like the Browning strutter chair. It's soft, quiet, and very portable; and seems to be high quality - the camo print is embedded on the fabric rather than screen printed so it won't be flaking off after a season or 2. Also, out of the package it seems scent-neutral which is nice- I would not have been surprised if it smelled like vinyl but it smells like nothing to me.

Priced rite
Easy to setup and used well made but too short even when sitting on the ground your shoulders are above the blind can't sit on bucket or chair..have to sit directly on ground or cushion needs to be bigger

Surprisingly Useful for Doves
Easy to strap onto my rifle case with some paracord to carry into the field. Once I popped it open I cut some of the surrounding grass and put the stalks through the cut vents in the fabric. Made my blind in minutes. Easy to take down and store.

Great little blind
Folded up it is easy to pack in my turkey vest or back pack. It is light weight which means you are not adding a lot to your load.It unfolds and pops into place very quickly. Then you just push the ends into the ground. I have a low profile lounger I sit in. The height of the blind was just right. Just my head was over the top. I would only suggest 2 things. A carry strap so I can just throw it over the shoulder and 1 more panel. The 3 panels give you just enough coverage but 1 more would make it perfect.
