Removed a seized bolt from 1998 Ford Explorer water pump
I stripped/rounded the very last stud bolt on the water pump of my 98 explorer. I purchased this extractor and a different one (which I used first and broke the stud tip off)… this one was able to grab down on the stud and slowly extract it from the water pump. I was praising the Lord! This thing WORKS!!! I used some oil penetrant (blaster penetrant), and that seemed to help too.

Durable
After discount tire broke 2 lugnuts off and couldn't get them off I ordered this tool. Couple hammer swings and a pry bar I got them off and saved 138 dollars and rim damage to have them torched off. Life saver

Success not guaranteed
I bought this product to remove a frozen lug nut from a wheel stud. 3/8 drive, which these are, isn’t large enough for tough applications. I broke two 1/2” to 3/8” adapters trying to make this work with my 1/2” breaker bar. I eventually had to drill out the wheel stud and even had to use a cutting torch to finally finish the job. I’m not saying this isn’t a good tool but in my case it didn’t work.

Stripped a bolt off in a Benz head and yes....it was the last bolt to had been removed STRIPPED IT!!! I brought this set and BAMM!!! it bit into that head bolt and removed it....perfect tool.

Did not work as expected
Tried to remove a stippled bolt but it would not grab into it. As I turned the tool it just backed off. Returning tool asap

It worked
I tapped 1 on a bleeder and it loosened right up. I was extremely happy. Other than what appears to be a paint chip on the part, it appears re-useable. Either way, cheaper than a mechanic for just that 1 use.

Stripped head bolt
These things were a lifesaver. Had a stipped head bolt on a mazda 2.3. Rather then drill out the head bolt i tried these. Worked great and under high torque too.
