These are the best paint sticks for an easy arts and crafts activity. From a sensory perspective, they are a dream. Not sticky or bothersome. They glide smoothly and give great color payoff. The variety of colors in this pastel set is great and the shades themselves are lovely. As a busy parent, the last thing I want to do is deal with a massive set up or clean up process when doing an art project with my kids. These eliminate the fussiness of paint pots and the inevitable spilled water rinse cup- because no brushes are needed! They are great for kids of all ages- and honestly fun for adults too. Little hands have no issues holding these although, grown ups may need to help with fully securing the lids when putting them away to prevent from drying out. I haven’t noticed any staining on clothes and the colors wash off skin easily with a wet paper towel. We have so much fun with these! Get them!

These are awesome for journaling or for no-mess fun. They dry quickly (not good for blending, but great for layering) and are pretty opaque, especially in layers. Don’t expect precision; they are clunky and it can be hard to get a precise edge since they are so creamy and shaped like a glue stick (they twist up like one too). There are also imperfections in the paint itself - I was getting purple streaks in my grey blue, which happened to present itself in my color swatch so you can see. It’s annoying to cover back up, but for my uses it’s not a big deal. I didn’t find the color labels they come with to be exactly useful and some of the colors on the box don’t match what the colors actually look like. It’s always good to swatch your colors anyway. I labeled them regular names that I thought made sense since I’ll be sharing them, but I am also trying to learn watercolor painting using Winsor paints, so on my color swatch I did my best to approximate the color matches for my own learning. These are pretty pastel colors, portable, fun and easy to use, and even brown paper bags from the store or Amazon shipping paper become canvas material with these. I just ordered the regular color set too!

I love these tempera paint sticks, they work well on different types of paper and even canvas. I like the color variety and the paint is smooth, and dries quickly which allows for layering. I think the paint sticks will last awhile, and they're a good size and value. It washes of hands without any issues, it doesn't drip and so you're less likely to get it on your clothing.

Amazing for my toddler to make bright marks. Kind of like the texture of an oil pastel, but washable! I am very particular about the products I buy. I want them to be good quality and convenient to use. I am very happy with these. The bold colors as beautiful and don't require a lot of pressure on paper to leave a mark. Also, easily washable, which is a must for my little one. No smell. If i didn't have a toddler, I would probably still buy a set for myself because they were really nice. Even my visiting brother-in-law commented how nice these were when he was using them with his son during a visit to our place.

These paint sticks are truly the best. I’m an infant and toddler teacher and got these for my class. Young children don’t always have the fine motor strength to use enough pressure to get the color out of crayons that older children do and sometimes markers can be hard to clean. Wet paint is good to use but is always messy and many young children just want to put it in their mouths. These paint sticks were so easy to use, quick to dry, so creamy, and the colors were so bright and amazing. It really looked like paint once it was dry. You could layer the paints without blending and it felt so satisfying to use. I wish they made these in thinner sticks to make more detailed art for older children. My own kids (4 & 2) also loved these. They spent more time making art with these than other crayons or markers. These are way better than gel crayons which don’t always dry and often transfer colors to other things if the paper rubs against another material long after being used. The cleanup is so easy. They wash right off of hands and tabletops. I haven’t tried washing out of fabrics yet but it seems like it will come out with ease. I love these and will always keep a set on hand.

I have other tempera paint sticks and needed some pastel colors. I thought these had more pinks as I was going to use them for blush on portraits, but there's only one pink and a peachy orange. There's also a lavender but it's more of a cool tone. It might work with darker skin tones. This set is actually more of a good supplement for landscapes. They are more opaque than other tempera sticks that I have, so if you need that opaqueness with light colors, I think they will do well. In my pic of swatches I did two layers (let dry in between, they dry quickly) over a black line to get an idea of the opaqueness. Only one layer on the clouds in the small sample landscape I tried. The names of the colors are on the box, but they are not labeled on the stick barrels. And the printed colors on the box are not really an exact match to the actual color, which caused me some confusion. I think I've figured out which green is which, but the two lighter blues, I'm not sure which one is which. This only matters if these paint sticks can be ordered individually and need to replenish a specific color.

I used these for a school craft project. I loved how easy they are to use and definitely less messy compared to traditional paint. It dries pretty quick if it’s a thinner layer.

These paint sticks are my new obsession. The texture is so satisfying to work with, and the color payoff is impressive! I’ve always wanted to dabble in pastels, and this is a really low barrier to entry way to play. No set up, no clean up, just relaxing time to “paint”

Ich habe sowohl das normale 30er Set als auch das Set mit den Pastellfarben. Hier bewerte ich das normale Set: Leuchtende, schöne Farben. Die Metallic schimmern schön. Kein Geschmotze, Farbe trocknet im Grunde sofort, das Skizzenbuch lasse ich trotzdem eine halbe Stunde offen liegen, damit beim Zuklappen nichts zusammenklebt. Durch das schnelle Trocknen ist es aber nicht möglich, die Farben mit dem Finger zu verstreichen und ineinander zu verblenden. Allerdings sind sie wasserlöslich (die Striche lösen sich dadurch nicht auf, aber man durchaus Farbe herumschieben). Durch die Dicke der Stifte ist präzises Arbeiten nicht möglich, und ich gehe davon aus dass die Farben nicht lichtecht sind. Leider lassen sich keine einzelnen Farben nachkaufen und ich habe den Eindruck dass ich die Sticks sehr schnell aufbrauchen werde. Viel Plastik. Für Kinder super, und ich selbst habe auch großen Spaß mit den Sticks. Es gibt auch größere Sets, aber wer sowieso das Pastellset noch dazu kaufen möchte, ist zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt (22.07.24) am Besten dran mit dem 30er Set und dem Pastellset, denn in den größeren Sets sind schon mehrere Pastellfarben dabei, und diese hätte man dann doppelt.

2歳の息子が使用していますが、「このクレヨンがいい！」と自分から選ぶほどお気に入りになっています。おかげで、お絵かきへの意欲がかなり増しました。 色がとても綺麗で発色も良く、子どもが描いた絵を壁に飾るのが親としても楽しみになっています。 うちの子は筆圧が強く、どうしても手や腕、服に付いてしまうため、撥水スモックを着せてお絵かきタイムを楽しんでいます。汚れてしまっても洗えばきちんと落ちるのでとても助かっています。 最初はクレヨンを繰り出す作業を毎回親が手伝っていましたが、描きたい気持ちが強かったのか、いつの間にか自分で上手にできるようになり、成長も感じられました。 発色の良さ、扱いやすさ、後片付けのしやすさのバランスがとても良く、子どものお絵かき用として安心しておすすめできる商品です。

Great for adults who love to work with mix media. I use these in my journals that aren't meant to handle wet media. Painting with these sticks does not warp the paper or bleed through as they dry within seconds. You can achieve a pastel /oil painting like affect. This pastel set is wonderful as it is all lighter shades perfect for layering on top of the darker colors.
