This is an excellent product. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the end result is exactly what I wanted and needed. The draught is excluded but the door opens and swings freely over the carpet as required. I would highly recommend this if you are looking to reduce draughts and save energy.

Simple to install. The only parts that I had difficulty fitting were the end caps. It turn out that you have to assemble the two main components before fitting the end caps.

PROBLEM ONE it's not actually fixed to the door - you attach three little plastic blocks to the door with screws, then slide the door seal onto them - that's it - so the whole thing can slide from side - and because one end is spring-loaded, it bounces out of position EVERY TIME you open the door and needs to be repositioned before you can close it again. PROBLEM TWO the drop down mechanism is only on one end - so only that end drops down. Surely we should be provided with another drop down mechanism to fit at the other end once we've cut it to size? I've fixed the first problem by wedging it into place with a panel pin at either end - but at some point the pins will bend and then it will be unusable again. I can't thing of a way to fix the second problem so - yeah - it's rubbish.

It took a while for me to work out the instructions specific to my door but there was a video on YouTube that did show partially what I needed to see but it was with a different door opening option so I figured out the rest myself. In the end I got there. What I have learned looking at some of the reviews is if you are having the door hinge closure rather than the rubber stop closure: is to ensure your door frame is not warped or off line with the contact with this item, as that will mean the rubber excluder will drop unevenly. Hope this helps with knowing. I think this item is great and do recommend.
