A GREAT CAMERA BOOK ..ALL YOU WILL EVER NEED.(NIKON D4/D4s)
This long awaited volume arrived today. It should have been published last year but was put back on several occasions until I thought it would never arrive. The title had been changed along the way from D4 to D4/D4s. Sensible to incorporate the newer model but I don't think that was the whole reason for the delay. It was more likely content. My first impression was weight and size, it was not like any camera book I had seen before.Thom Hogan's D3 manual was a mighty big publication but David Busch's D4/D4s makes them all look like brochures. It is the most comprehensive, all embracing volume I have seen produced for a camera. At 552 pages and measuring 23cms x 19cmx this is no ordinary camera book. Although a soft cover it is printed on high quality paper and I could see it costing three times the amount with a hard cover such is the quality. So it arrived today and no I have not read it yet (552 pages remember) but I have "dipped" and found not just "how" but "why, when and where".and that makes a huge difference. Pro's who use the D4 or the D4s may not need the information contained here but I am sure they would love to have a copy for reference. So if you are a Nikon D4 or D4s user, this is the only book you will ever need ...to read or dip.

the real thing; no loose leaf copy
cracker of a hefty volume, as originally published and, well bound, durable and very easy to dip into for whatever you seek. Highly recommended to complement this awesome camera

A Good Constructive Guide to the D4s
Even us established Professionals find a book like this of real value. I am not normally one to read these type of guides - but on this occasion I have found David's book to be very supportive of this excellent Nikon Professional Camera.

Clear, easy to use and as heavy as the camera. That's a lot of info...
Difficult to say much about it, really. This is a very comprehensive guide to things you may not (even as an experienced photographer and long-term Nikon user like me) be aware your camera does. It's a bit American in style, but it's very clear and easy to grasp. Big though - don't expect to slip it into your camera bag and not notice the weight...

Previously purchased guide for Nikon D700, therefore fully aware of what to expect from David Busch.Paper back version is stronger than spiral bound which falls apart with handling.First class. For a DSLR with this specification, it is well worth acquiring this book and maximising yourpotential.

The guide to turn to
As always with David Busch, this is the guide to turn to if you want to explore the full potential of your camera. Many things you will perhaps already know (with a pro camera like the D4 anyway), but this camera has so many features you will always detect something new and useful, as I did, though I had been using the D4 for over 2 years when I received the book.

great book goes further than the nikon manual because it explains in more detail (or should i say in more laymans terms ) all the various aspects that the camera offers.
