it still works just fine
'Had thought about getting a digital pH meter, but based on reviews, I don't think they're always accurate. Litmus paper worked for me back in high school and college (a LONG time ago), and it still works today. These strips don't break the numbers down as fine as others (e.g. 7.25 or 7.5), but they span the range from 1 to 14, and that was perfect for what I needed.

Solid, Old School pH testing strips
I've used these for testing pH of home made vinegar and our well water. These are the same types of strips I used in College Chemistry. Old Reliable.

Pretty Happy With These pH Test Strips
These are very helpful pH test strips for a wide variety of uses, and I appreciate the affordable pricing. The strips changed color quite quickly when exposed to various liquids, and from our home experimentation (including testing our very alkaline tap water — 8.5!) we saw that the colors of the strips matched the included pH chart.I also appreciate that they come in a little cardboard booklet, as opposed to a large plastic tube that would take up excess space.I plan to use these this spring to test the pH levels of various soils throughout my balcony garden, since my cacti and succulents love acidity and will be very unhappy if the soil gets too alkaline. Happy to have these as part of my home gardener arsenal, and highly recommend them for amateur home pH testing.

Good product
I use this a lot to test my products. Seems pretty accurate. To test for color accuracy you need to dip it in water and color is pretty accurate. The process for testing soap PH is different, i am not sure but some says that dabbing it straight to soap is not the proper way, you have to melt the soap, anyhow it will still somehow show PH level, if you need accurate reading PH meter is the best option for you, this is fun and easy to use and result is fast.

Don’t waste your money
Does not work. After trying one strip I set up a control group with distilled water, vinegar and baking soda water. Each of the strips resulted in the same color. A waste of money!
