I use it in my car's manual transmission, and it's given me great results. I've driven 215,003 miles. I highly recommend it.

Great gear oil for my 2001 Jeep Wrangler
I ordered the Valvoline Synchromesh for my 2001 Jeep TJ with the five speed manual transmission. This transmission requires the gear oil for yellow metals. The transmission was grinding while going into second gear, especially when cold. The Jeep has 190K miles on it. I ordered 4 quarts and only needed two. I also ordered the AIGMISON 3L Transmission Fluid Pump to make it easier to fill the transmission. It worked like a charm. After changing the gear oil, the shifting is noticeably smoother and it doesn't grind . It was grinding almost every shift into second gear and once in a while going into other gears. I would recommend this gear oil for the Jeeps that need the GL-4 oil. It is the best priced oil I could find that meets the spec.

Better than Pennzoil!
After running Pennzoil Synchromesh for 30K miles in a remanufactured transmission on my Jeep JK, I switched to Valvoline based on reviews I've seen in other forums. The Pennzoil bottle says its product meets GL4 specs, while the Valvoline website says their product meets GL5. I wouldn't have believed that a change in brand would have made a huge difference, but I'm impressed! Previously, I would have to occasionally make two attempts to shift to first gear, including having to double clutch on rare occasions. Now I can move smoothly through the shift gate with no issue and the transmission is even quieter than before. I can wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Affordable equivalent to the Mopar manual transmission fluid
Understanding my ratings: - 1 star - absolute junk, don't buy - 2 stars - it works but wasn't worth the money - 3 stars - I got what I paid for - 4 stars - It's a good value for what you pay - 5 stars - GOAT - better than expected and really good value 4 stars as this is a great value in comparison to the Mopar equivalent.

The price scared me
Way cheaper than some elitist oil… but! In a jeep JK six speed manual transmission, rubicon 2008- it shifts smoother and better so I am happy with it. Truth is, high end oils are pointless if you change your transmission oil often enough

Magic in a bottle
I stand by this stuff. I’ve had two different cars w/ transmission issues that this stuff has helped with. A 2014 Challenger R/T and a 2006 350z.

Great for e36 manual
My e36 5 spd used to have really stiff shifting. This works perfectly- up and downshifts are very smooth.

Buen producto.

It is MTF. It checks the MTF boxes as a back yard wrench turner
