I had a problem in my conservatory, and it worked fine. You just have to make sure you set it to the right material, no good going from wood to brick.I was able to locate the dampest spot, and treated the brick surface wit water repellent, and you could see each day the problem wall area slowly drying out.A good low priced toll to have about.

Very easy to use, after turning on, you just need to select the mode and press it against the wall. Carry case is a nice addition to protect it in the tool bag.The most difficult bit for me was to get the battery in and out of the back, it felt like I was going to rip the wire straight off the circuit board.

Firstly, this is simple to get using. It comes with light and hold switches as well.I cannot confirm the accuracy of the sensor, but I can say there are areas I knew it should ping - and ping it did.It's not cheap at £32.99 - and i think at that price, I would like more information on what the sensors are specifically for - it gives a few examples, but more common materials would also be helpful like plasterboard, etc.It's four stars from me, based on the fact a bit more help in using it correctly would be welcome.Four stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

I've given the unit a pretty good work out and would rate it 5 stars for usability, 4 stars for value based on other similar units that are cheaper in price, so maybe 4.5...Comes in a sturdy box and further protected by a soft case and plastic inner bag.Unit is easy to use, you don't even need to read the instructions.Used it on several properties now and the results were revealing.Also used on a selection of timber, soft wood and hard wood both dry and damp.On the face of it I have no reason to doubt the unit's accuracy and would recommend to anyone worrying about damp in their house or users of timber.

While I got this to check the moisture content of firewood, as I use a lot of firewood in winter between a stove and an open fire, and ideally this should be below 20%, the mode can quickly be changed to measure moisture content in walls and brickwork.There is a simple set of instructions that are useful to orientate oneself with the device, but it is really very intuitive to use.The meter is bright orange and comes with a protective case, which will make it easy to find when needed. It is powered by a 9-volt battery, which is also supplied, and it is easy to install.The readout is large and very quick and is achieved by simply placing the back of the meter onto the surface to be measured. The only stipulation is that the material to be measured must be at least ¾ inch thick to get an accurate measurement.There is a hold button, which as the name suggests holds the last reading!I think the item represents fair value for money.

This Moisture meter has come handy to check moisture levels around my walls near the windows as iv had some mold issues it’s reassured me the detector is very user friendly and most people will find is very easy to use, on the back of the meter you have a chart showing you the different levels as a reference which is very handy so overall very useful product to have a around

Not long ago we had a leak in our home.This moisture meter is great to measure wet level in walls. So easy to use and is so accurate.Arrives quick, packaged very well.Definitely recommend.
