Good, nearly-invisible protection for the charging door of a Chevrolet Bolt
The charge port door (analogous to the gas filler door on a gas car) on my Chevrolet Bolt requires that one push on it to open it, then push again to close it. Since I find myself plugging it in every night (to ensure it's always full in the morning) the door gets a lot of use.I was concerned about all the pushing and other hand contact damaging the paint on the door, so I cleaned and waxed it very well, then cut and applied this clear film as directed. It has no adhesives, and you get the the door and film wet and "squeegee" it on (the directions are simple). After letting it sit for a bit to dry out, it's barely visible unless you specifically go looking for it. The film takes the brunt of the daily finger-pushing without getting marked or damaged, and has been working well for about a year now.I'm not sure why you'd ever want to remove it, but since it's not adhesive at all, you just need to peel up a corner with a fingernail and the film pulls right off without leaving any residue.

Does a great job
Got this for the passenger side seal on my pilot to keep my orthotic brace from damaging the paint. Works great. The one on our cr-v lasted several years. But… You must apply a soapy solution, like a drop of dawn in a small spray bottle. Clean the area, squirt the solution on, cut the length you need, and put it on thje soapy/slick area. Position it a squeegee from the center out. Bingo. Note: you can look it up on YouTube.

Excellent clear film
Excellent quality, as you'd expect from 3M. I use the film to protect the red Soles of my Louboutin's. When applied, it's very transparent and you can't see it. Perfect!!

Using on parts of my c8 corvette
This size is easy to manage but difficult to install on round shapes like a mirror body. Overall, it was a great product, but some of the backing was stuck on the film on a section I did on my roof rail. That was super annoying given that the film was already applied. I had to peel it up and remove it with the solution cocktail. Overall, it's a manageable product if you try to plan out your attack on sections of the vehicle. I found precutting to be helpful. Also, cutting on the car was the cleanest cut when making things tidy on edges or connecting points.Notes: Will I ever PPF my vehicle again? No, it's too much dang work. Is it possible to do it on your own? Yes, but expect to spend A LOT of time on any raw materials (not pre-cut) like this.

Decent, not as tacky as I had hopped
It is decent. My application, protecting high wear plastic parts of the city select lux stroller. When the stroller is folded, there are sections that will be rubbed or scrapped. To avoid heavy cosmetic damage to a very expensive stroller I used this material. It is easy to cut, easy to manipulate and easy to apply. It is thick enough to protect well for my application. One issue, which is very strange for 3M... It doesn't want to stick very well, I had to really rub it on to get it to adhere. Even then, its a little sketchy. My applied use is probably not its intended design, my guess as to its best application, lower panels on a vehicles door. To prevent rock chips that are kicked up from its tires. The width and length would be great to protect (1) one side.

Perfect
I use this on my Marin mountain bike and so far I have not been disappointed. You can’t really see the tape which is a positive. It was a little sticky to put on, but if you use the wet method and squeegee it out, it works really well. Definitely buying it for my next bike.
