These torch lighters can be confusing at first. I almost returned them. I filled them with butane but when I lit them, they burned a quick second and went out multiple times. After a YouTube search, I learned you have to purge air from the system. They even sell a purging tool. Once I did that, these burned beautifully. The weatherproof case does a good job of keeping the lighter operational in the elements.

I purchased these lighters because they reminded me of a windproof lighter I first bought 25 years ago. That lighter lit every time in all sorts of conditions and was completely reliable. These these match that item in superficial appearance only. They consist of a rubbery case which gives the impression of ruggedness but the removable lighter component is cheap and poorly finished. After filling with butane fuel, they each lit on one of five tries which is poor, but after sitting for several days they would not light at all. A quality fire lighter is a critical piece of hiking or camping gear and these are junk cannot be trusted. I am throwing them in the trash less they give me or someone else in the family the impression that they have a useful lighter. You'd be better off with a disposable lighter from a gas station.

I love this little lighter. I've used it thousands of times in the last 6 months. It lights every time and the butane lasts a couple of weeks of continuous use. I only gave it 4 stars because the latch for the lid wears down and the spring broke after about 5 months. I'd buy it regardless

These work great. Easy to refill. The 2 pack is the better deal.

It works well, when it works. I purchased two of these and they both performed about the same: ignition happens maybe after a dozen or so clicks of the igniter. Once that happens, or you use a match to ignite the gas, it works well.

Good lighter especially for the price. I noticed alot of people gave a bad review because they were having problems with the flame. Many lighters are sold with the flame adjustment at lowest setting which often won't stay lit when you light it. Simply turn the white plastic arrow to adjust the flame. It's a bit difficult to see because it's the same color as the tank, but in the picture, I marked it with a Sharpie to show where it is. I suggest the manufacturer make the plastic arrow a different color and address this step specifically in their photo layout to avoid confusion.

It is great. I got it in a small package with no butane so you have to buy your own. Case actually was waterproof. It had a good jet flame like advertised and the only problem was I had a bit of trouble getting the lanyard thing onto the lighter around my neck but I got it after like 5 minutes. The lanyard even has a built in whistle. Overall worth it for the money and definitely recommend buying.

One of the anodes was much smaller than the other and is rapidly eroding. Soon it will cease to function.
