RecPak Review by a Climbing Dad
As an avid rock climber and father, finding the right nutrition for my son’s and me during our big climbs has always been a priority. We’ve recently started using RecPak, and it has become an essential part of our climbing adventures.RecPak helped me and Sylvan climb Wolf’s Head in the Cirque of the Towers. At seven years old he’s now the youngest person to climb it!Why We Love RecPak: 1. Perfect for Climbers: Whether we’re tackling a long route or just spending the day at the crag, RecPak provides the perfect balance of nutrition. Each pouch is packed with 700 calories, giving us the energy we need to power through our climbs without feeling weighed down. 2. Easy and Convenient: One of the best things about RecPak is how easy it is to use. Just add water, shake, and drink. The pouches are lightweight and compact, fitting easily into our climbing packs. This convenience means less time preparing food and more time climbing with Sam. 3. Kid-Approved Flavors: Sam loves the flavors, especially the Vanilla Chai and Chocolate. It’s hard to find nutritious food that kids enjoy, but RecPak hits the mark. Plus, the Coffee flavor is perfect for my wife when she needs that extra caffeine boost to get her started in the morning. 4. Sturdy and Durable: The pouches are designed to withstand the rough and tumble of climbing gear. We’ve never had any issues with leaks or punctures, even when packed alongside our carabiners and quickdraws. The Paks are light and pack anywhere, you can just cram them in.Real Adventure Tested: On our last big route, Sam and I relied on RecPak for our nutrition. The high-calorie content kept us fueled and focused, and the easy-to-digest formula meant no stomach issues, which can be a real problem when you’re hanging off a cliff.A Family Favorite: As a parent, it’s important to me that Sam Sylvan and Joey are getting the best nutrition possible, especially during physically demanding activities like rock climbing. RecPak delivers on this front, making it a staple for our climbing trips. In conclusion, RecPak is a fantastic meal replacement for any climbing family. It’s nutritious, convenient, and kid-approved. If you’re looking for something that will keep you and your kids fueled on your adventures, I highly recommend giving RecPak a try.You can find more information and order your own at their official website.

ABSOLUTELY LIFE CHANGING!
As a rock climber, having a meal that is lightweight and filling is ESSENTIAL! RecPak is not only tasty but it keeps me sustained and energized for hours—I still don’t understand how one meal can have 42 grams of protein, but trust me…my body can tell. I feel amazing all thanks to this company! It would be a mistake not to buy right now😉

Lightweight, super calorie dense -- perfect for an outdoor meal on the trail
This is seriously a great meal for adventure or work/school. Super simple prep (just add water and shake), really good flavor, great ingredients, and there's a lot in there. It's ridiculously calorie dense (in a good way): 700 calories for the pouch and it keeps you full. This is really perfect for backpacking and other outdoor activities. I'm all about healthy meals that don't take a half hour of my morning when I'd rather get on the trail earlier or sleep longer. This will be perfect for skiing/snowboarding, too. It'd be super simple to just keep it in your backpack or a large coat pocket, then break it out on your way up the lift, so you don't have to lose precious powder time at the lodge buying a crazy expensive meal and losing an hour of your ski day.

Great light weight meal
Love recpak. The coffee flavor is mild but great, the amount of nutrition coming from one pak is amazing!

Great for Big Endurance Days
I do a lot of long bikepacking trips. I always have a hard time eating at the end of the day. I tried the mixed 3 pack on my last trip and brought the Vanilla Chai and Chocolate with me to try. I did a 105 mile day and gave the Vanilla Chai a try. Poured the water in and went about getting my camp set up and would give the pouch some good shakes in between. Still came out a little chunky but not bad. Flavor was decent as well. More importantly I got the much needed calories I needed after a big day on the bike. Tried the chocolate the next day. This is a good solution for me to get the calories I need and they pack down small. Good stuff. Will be buying more for upcoming trips.

Excellent quick and easy meal.
The Chai Vanilla was very good, like an oat milkshake. Very filling. I had 3 over a 3 day white water trip and the packaging held up to some abuse. I will 100% get more of these, even good for just a long hike.

Easy to carry, easy to drink
i like the product, but it is expensive, has bulky packaging, and has a limited shelf life. (My primary use is during extended activity 24-72 hour efforts). RecPak makes a decent product but I’m going to continue mixing my own product at less than 20% of the cost and a fraction of the packaging waste. I would be more interested in a bulk product.

Amazing
These are amazing! I don’t know of a better way to take in calories when I’m really pushing hard. Great flavor, consistency, and ease of use. Great for hiking, offshore sailing, climbing, cycling, and anything else where your body needs a strong hit of nutritious energy! Keep up the great work!
