Congress playing cards have always been attractive, long-lasting, good quality bridge/playing cards.My Mom has a bunch of them in boxes, and only changes them out so her bridge groups get a change of scenery--they last well under normal bridge group conditions.This series also comes in "Jumbo index," which is great for older eyes. My Mom's bridge groups have been going strong for 40+ years, and they now appreciate the larger index version, so we are adding to her collection.The illustrated backs are the same, but the jumbo index cards shrink the face images to emphasize the suit and card number--so the players can pick out the card values more easily. These seem to be large enough because Ifound another company that makes a really out sized index, and my Mom said they all still had their eyesight, just older eyes. I take that to mean that barring any substantial vision loss, some of the players in her set do have macular degeneration that's not too advanced, these should be legible enough for "older" eyes at any age.I can recommend these cards, even though I don't play, because the local bridge bunch loves them and I have been buying these fun cards for my Mom since I was a kid!I get a pack or so for my Mom and her friends every chance I see them, but I think the manufacturer has gone out of business, so if you want some, you better act fast, as there are even less of the "jumbo" index still floating around.hope this was helpful

Love these. Congress has been my favorite brand for over 50 years. But, as one person mentioned, they are hard to find. Was thrilled to see them here. These high quality cards stand up through many years of use. Yes, they are stiff at first but as a lifelong card player, I have no trouble shuffling them and they do relax with use. One purchaser complained about the size. They are standard Bridge size. If you want larger cards, get Poker size. For me, as long as Congress cards are available, I will be buying them.

These are very pretty. While the cards are a little slippery and stiff at first, I think they will break in nicely and stay good for a long time. I got them to replace a similar set I have been using for about 40 years. I think the large index is good for older players.

I bought this double set of (bridge) cards as a gift for my sister. Perfect colors for her house, red, black and beige! Decorative Bridge card decks are hard to find.

These cards are perfect! We used 3 decks for our game and there are 5 of us. The cards are small enough to hold and strong enough to last. The jumbo letters are a big plus. Definitely 5 star!!!!!

My grandparents love playing cards and have been using Congress brand ever since I can remember. These cards have been getting much harder to find in the past 10 years though. Last time we played, their decks were so worn out that they couldn't even be dealt. So, I purchased this lot of cards to last them the next 10 years. They couldn't be happier with them. They are paper cards coated in plastic, but they have a nice feel to them and deal very well and do last a few years even with heavy use. Five stars for the right brand and type at a great price!

These cards feel great and look very nice. They are slightly smaller in width than some other jumbo index cards, which makes them easier to hold in your hand. Very smooth and easy to shuffle. Highly recommended.

The cards were too stiff to shuffle. After using them for a month, they are still too stiff to shuffle. The are pretty and seem to be of good quality material, but they are not flexible enough for me.
