Great Smartwatch
I absolutely love my Garmin Forerunner 265s, especially because of its compact size, making it perfect for my petite wrist. After switching from an Apple Watch, I can confidently say this is a huge upgrade for my fitness tracking needs. What I Love:✔ Perfect Fit for Smaller Wrists – Unlike bulkier fitness watches, the 265s has a sleek, lightweight design that feels comfortable all day long. It doesn’t look oversized or awkward on a smaller wrist, which is a big win!✔ Amazing Battery Life – One of the biggest perks! I only need to charge it once every 10 days, even with daily workouts. That’s a major improvement over my previous smartwatch.✔ Superior Fitness Tracking – The Garmin Coach programs, advanced running metrics, and heart rate tracking make this a fantastic tool for serious training.✔ Bright AMOLED Display – The screen is crisp, colorful, and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. What Could Be Better:➖ Limited Garmin Watch Band Options – I wish Garmin had more official band choices. While third-party options exist, it would be great to have more variety directly from Garmin.➖ Pace Alarm in Garmin Coach – I really wish there was a way to turn off the pace alarm when using Garmin Coach programs. Sometimes I just want to run without constant alerts!Final Thoughts:The Garmin Forerunner 265s is an outstanding fitness watch, especially for those with smaller wrists who still want powerful tracking features. The battery life is incredible, and it’s a huge improvement over my previous Apple Watch. If Garmin could offer more watch band choices and customizable training alerts, it would be absolutely perfect. Highly recommend for runners, athletes, and anyone looking for a reliable fitness watch!

Everything I was looking for!
After dabbling with Apple Watch, Whoop, and FitBit, we became a Garmin household this fall.. and I have zero regrets. The Forerunner series has everything I was looking for in a smart watch: sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, recovery and performance statistics, and so much more. Customizable training plans, badges and challenges, and so many other features are available in the app as well. The only downsides: I wish there was a better way to track non-running workouts. It does have tracking activities for HIIT and Strength workouts, but sometimes I do AMRAP or general conditioning-style workouts that don't fall into these categories. There's also an independent app store available which I don't exactly love, because I prefer not to have third-party apps. Lastly, the silicone band has been irritating my wrist, so we'll be switching to the nylon band soon.

Music doesn't work and hard to see screen - and now Garmin Bricks the watch with GPS update
Update: now even more frustarted with the watch given Gramin bricked it with an GPS update. At this point given how hard it is to read the screen and for the screen to stay on, I would not recommend this watchI've been a Garmin running watch user for over 30 years, and I really wanted to like this watch, but it has important issues that has me now searching for an alternative. Here are the issues(1) I bought the watch to download my music and use it while running. This feature doesn't work the majority of the time. The biggest issues are (a) Garmin watch for some reason cannot connect to the earbuds that my phone always can connect to or it takes 10+ to get the connection to work or (b) once the earbuds are connected the music starts and stops every handful of seconds over and over again. These combined make the usage of the watch for music useless.(2) We live in sunny california and run with sunglasses on. The screen needs to have a brighter option to make it easier to see in the sun with shades on. The older Garmin watch was much easier to see when running in the sun with sunglasses on.(3) The auto screen dimmer is very annoying. I want to turn it completely off, but have not found a way yet. To see the watch while running I have to jiggle my wrist for it to wake up the screen and there is a visible 2-3 second delay in doing that if it works (doesn't work 100% of the time). I just want a setting to have the watch on max brightness 100% of the time without the screen auto dimming and waking up. And I need it brighter given we are in the sun with sunglasses.I could live with (2) and (3), though it makes using the watch annonying compared to my prior Garmin watches which did not have this issue. But the fact that I bought the watch for music and the music just doesn't work, I now have to search for a watch that does work with music and hopefully has a screen I can see when I want.

Honest review!
I bought the Garmin Forerunner 265s for my boyfriend (now husband) for his birthday, and he absolutely loves it! The watch has a long battery life, fitness tracker and tracks sleep which is perfect for his active lifestyle. The touchscreen is responsive and easy to use, and it even allows him to send a few automatic messages, which is a great feature. He also loves the color, which looks fantastic on him. Overall, it's been an amazing gift, and he's been thrilled with it!
