A good fix
it worked! Happy that I didnt need to pull out the entire igniter/burner. Seriously it was a 3 minute fix with replacing this terhmostat on an about 30 year old water heater.

Worked great for my American Standard Water Heater
Worked great as a rush replacement for my American Standard GN40L-2-3-6 water heater. It was a little challenging to remove the original, but once it was removed this one fit and fixed my issue with the pilot light turning off.

worker great for my American water heater
My water heater suddenly stopped working. I checked and there was no pilot light. I tried restarting the pilot light but it would not stay on. Good ole Youtube said that it was most likely the thermocouple. So I took out the pilot assembly and it was a 24 inch thermocouple. There is very little information about what thermocouple fits American so I decided to take a chance that it would fit. Fortunately, it fit perfect and now the water heater is working great again. I almost was going to get a new water heater but this inexpensive part saved the day.

Must need replacement part
It’s a part that wears out every two years or if your lucky it will last longer I like to have it on hand because it usually goes bad in the wintertime

Reasonably easy replacement
My water heater exhibited symptoms of a defective thermocouple. Ordered this unit, replaced it myself, and now the water heater is working fine. This was the first thermocouple I've ever replaced.

Keep a spare
These thermal couples are invaluable when you need them. These are good quality thermostats that will last few years. I always keep a spare next to every water heater.

Installed in <10 min and worked
Installed great and quickly. We used this exact same one 5 years ago and it just burnt out yesterday. Not bad for a $12.00-ish part.(Installed in a Williamson GWA 070 N S Gas Water Boiler, used the silver retainer but not the clip and it fit fine)
