I absolutely love this product. So easy to follow and so much fun! Even my 12 year old niece was able to pick it up pretty quickly!

The yarn fell apart as I was crocheting. It’s threads unraveled. I had to cut a part off. Also the videos were inaccessible. I registered but there was a pop up in Chinese. It wouldn’t let me continue. The yarn was very cheap. Also there is no step by step instructions booklet. There is an overview of basic crochet topics but no guide for how to do the octopus.

I got this for my daughter and I to try learn how crochet. 🤔 We still haven't got the hang of it though!

This kit is really good in the fact that it really does have everything you need to make the Octopi. It even has some practice yarn which was incredibly handy.The instructions were hard for me, I didn't know how much tension to put on the leading yarn. I'm very heavy handed and I kept making the leading yarn tension much too tight, incapable over getting the hook back through the loops. The kit was fine, but the instructions could be a little better. For example, I had to find another youtuber to teach me how to close the hole when finishing my first ball. Because the kit doesn't seem to need you to do that, so it doesn't show that.I do like the youtube channel pretty well, though the beginner videos are hard to find if you don't have the QR code on you. The YouTube site needs to have more playlists to more easily find what you are looking for. The woman has a pleasant voice, and was easy to understand. Though, I think she assumed a lot of knowledge for a beginner that just wasn't there. Like you need to loop your yarn over both the tail and the leading bit at the same time when making the Magic Loop/Ring/Circle, it's the tail that will close the beginning hole. I watched 6 videos on that, though, and no one said anything about it. So, that's not just this kit.I do really like this. But it's going to take a lot more practice to really get into it. I feel like I'm doing them inside out somehow, but without a person next to me to see what I'm doing, it's hard for me to see what I'm doing wrong. But we'll keep chugging.In the end I made just a ball. And that was made out of yarn I had because the yarn it came with was too thin for me to work with well. Once I am a little more proficient, I will try the given yarn again. The hook seems thin, but I remember when they didn't have a silicone hand;e to bulk them up, and that added bit of thickness was very nice.Overall, I think this is a good kit.

My Grand daughter wanted to lea how to do this. This is a very hard to learn kit. No so much of a beginner kit
