An easy way to give your pet the liver support he / she needs. Just add to a bowl of food. Simples ! Extremely palatable. My dog loves it !

I'm fifty-fifty on whether this is the same as holding a crystal over your dog's head.
The vet, who likes selling expensive things, says my dog should take Samylin, so she's been taking Samylin for a year or so. Samylin doesn't cause my dog any problems, but whether it improves her health or not, it is impossible to say. The more I research it, the less confidant I am about it. Samylin isn't a medical product - it isn't sold as such, and if it were, it would require MHRA registration. The website for the manufacturers (VetPlus) is very vague about what Samylin does. It just says "samylin is a complementary feed to help support healthy liver function", which isn't particularly scientific, and wouldn't satisfy anyone serious working in the medical world. They even use the pseudoscientific term "nutraceuticals", which is a word that is intended to make something sound scientific to the layman, but has the opposite effect for anyone else. I would love to know why VetPlus believe that Samylin improves liver function - have they done experiments on dogs to find out? If so, what were they? Were they humane? Are there any academic papers that support the claim? Is there any evidence at all anywhere? Why isn't the evidence mentioned on their website? I will probably continue to buy it because the vet says I should do, but for something this expensive, I need some evidence that this does anything.

Finally he'll eat it
Cat wouldn't touch his food if this was mixed in the first 3-4 times but now he will eat a small amount, not the whole sachet, mixed in to his food. Wet food such as Almo nature Ocean tuna or Applaws chicken with pumpkin. He wont eat it with his Royal Canin Chicken (Renal) though which is odd because he loves that one normally.

Good product
Dog doing well seems to like the powder. May try the pills next time. Would have been better to have a 2g versions as I have to give the dog 2 sachets every day.
