Purchased as a replacement for one which 'had seen better days'. Needed batteries but lid opens and closes as described. Nice choice of colours for most kitchens.

I had hoped to put this in the bathroom but it was a little large for my small room. However, it goes really well in the kitchen and and the fairly neutral colour blends in quite well. The advantages of this sensor bin are that you just have to approach the bin or swipe in front of it and the lid opens quickly to allow you to put the rubbish in. Very handy if your hands are dirty, full of rubbish or you just don't like touching bins. It's like having your very own bin butler! Note that the lid closes itself quite quickly, but don't worry if you are still putting stuff in, it doesn't hurt if it catches your hand.The best bit is every so often it frightens the other half when she walks past it a little too close.

Works wellBag securing loop is a bit flimsy, BE careful with it.Stops working if battery compartment gets damp.

I bought this a few years ago and didn’t get round to writing a review.Like you, I imagine, I wanted a stylish bin for my kitchen as it’s an essential item that is always on show. I did think this was a lot of money to pay for a bin, but I liked how it looked and thought it would be a good investment.It went to the tip some time ago.I had no issues with it for the first 6 months. No problems with the sensor; it wasn’t over-sensitive and it didn’t go off it someone happened to walk past. It went off as it should and the lid opened easily. But then it stopped working and the sensor didn’t activate at all.Changing the batteries didn’t fix it, and so I continued to use it as a manual bin by opening the lid by hand. I was disappointed but could live with it. Some time after that, the lid wouldn’t open at all. It was stuck in the closed position. I kept using the bin, but had take off the top section to put something in it, and then attach the lid again. This is a two hand job due to the weight of the motor.I had been googling like a demon during this time to try to fix the issue, and I discovered lots of others had the same problem.Please do not buy this bin. There’s s strong chance it will stop working after its initial honeymoon period. I don’t want you to waste your money and suffer the same frustrations that I did. This is an expensive item and I’d encourage you to explore other options or stick to a handsome manual bin.

Love the design of the bin. Lid works well.Had the same bin before (in baby blue). It worked well, so I'm confident this one will keep working for years

This lovely designed Swan kitchen bin is as perfect as a bin can be. The lid is automatic, it has a frame to hold the bag in place inside the bin so there is no ugly bag showing, it is a very good size so no emptying the bin more than once a day and finally comes in lots of colours and is part of the lovely retro range. Well done, Swan!

Es ist schon nett, den Mülleimer nicht mehr mit den (schmutzigen) Händen zu öffnen, berührungslos kann schon praktisch sein.Alles in allem ein nettes Accessoire

Anfangs waren wir sehr zufrieden.Nach nun etwas mehr als 2 Jahren ist der Mülleimer defekt (Öffnungsautomatik öffnet nicht mehr).Es wirkt, also geht dem Motor die Puste aus, nach wenigen Millimetern.Das Produkt ist aus der Garantie raus und damit hat man Pech gehabtQualitativ fällt das Produkt dadurch bei uns aber völlig durch, da wir den Mülleimer nun wegschmeißen können.

Da tenere in bella vista, ti arreda casa come poche altre cose <3La mia è ROSA, in futuro comprerò anche quella celeste.Attenzione al coperchio che si apre in automatico grazie al sensore (c'è il modo per disattivarlo), avvisate eventuali ospiti perché se si passa davanti al bidone questo si apre da solo!
