This was exactly what I needed for baking! Saved my counter tops from stuck dough and flour! It may feel like a pain to wash since it is thin but it was not hard to clean at all! Dishwasher safe too. Great quality and the stick grip feeling stays after washing too.

Previously, I used a long sheet of foil on my counter when working with dough, but it was inconvenient as it didn't stay in place and tore easily. I decided to explore alternatives on Amazon and came across this product after narrowing down my options. Watching a review video where someone tried to push it off the counter without success convinced me to give it a try. Upon receiving the product, it was neatly folded in a bag, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't retain any creases. There was no noticeable smell, and it proved easy to hand wash. However, be cautious of water runoff during washing. For drying, a simple wipe sufficed, but I air-dried it on the top rack of my dishwasher, unfolded. Storing it involved folding and placing it inside a plastic bag within a drawer. This lightweight product has a smooth, grippy silicone feel, ensuring it stays securely on the counter without sliding. It's easily adjustable, so that your mat is bubble-free, and straight when placed. Importantly, the dough doesn't stick to the mat, making it a valuable addition to my kitchen tools. I also used this mat so I can roll steam rice rolls. These can be very tricky to roll because they'll get sticky and you'll need to lubricate your surface with oil. But I do not need to use oil on this mat. It is already non-stick! According to my sister, I made the best looking steam rice rolls. Thanks to this mat! 😅😁🥰 If you are thinking about getting it, just get it. You'll be pleasantly surprised and will enjoy using it. One of the best kitchen tools. 👌

I really liked this silicone mat at first. It worked well for rolling dough and was easy to clean. The only downside was that it felt quite a bit thin. Unfortunately, it met a very early end. My roommate borrowed it and, not realizing how delicate it was, used it as a cutting board. The knife went right through it and left it covered in deep gashes, rendering it completely unusable. I'm pretty sad about it since it was new and broke so easily. I'll be buying a much thicker, more durable one next time. While it's good for its intended purpose, handle with extreme care and don't let anyone near it with a sharp object!

I have been baking bread including sourdough for decades, long before it was A Thing. Most all my dough prep/kneading has been on my trusty thick, heavy wood cutting board. The dough tends to stick, even with keeping flour on the board, but with my scraper, was manageable. It was also a chore to get clean. I decided to try a silicon mat. I have since gone through several bread baking episodes and I LIKE it! Less dough sticking while kneading. I still use the flour shaker to keep the dough honest and not stick to me or the board. I recently discovered something new: the tackiness of the dough makes a noise that changes as the dough gets worked. More sticky (still needs work): louder; less sticky (dough getting ready to be shaped): a softer sound. So: I'm still getting used to it, but I think I like it better than the wood cutting board (don't tell my board I said that!) It stays flat. Seems sturdy so far. It is the right size for my kneading space. I wish the back side of it (against the counter) was just a little sticker but is really not an issue. You will likely not want to use your steel scraper on this. I have some plastic ones on order! Bottom line: I think you will like it!

This silicone mat is very useful. I can roll out dough onto it and with just a light sprinkling of flour.. the dough won't stick. I also like the measurements along the sides. The measurements are both in standard American sizes and Metric. The center measurements are also helpful when rolling out dough for specific recipes. It's easy to clean with warm, soapy water and a sponge. I just dry it off, roll it up, and place it into a cabinet until next use. Excellent product. Reasonable price. Fast shipping.
