Amber Fossil Insect, 5Pcs Artificial Amber Fossil with Insect Specimen - Pendant Amber Stone Ornament for Collection,Science

My wife used them to make light catchers with jewelry. She was very happy. Happy wife, happy life.Note: I originally though these would be small enough to make jewelry to wear, but they are too big for that.

Small but good for price - my child loved it so that’s all that matters 😁

These are larger than I expected the would be. The form is very nice and I really enjoy the color. I think they're a great gift or something fun to add to an existing craft piece or integrate into one.They're even good as a paperweight, or general trinket.My only issue, and I'd go 4.5 stars if possible, was that the insects didn't have as much "pop" as I hoped. They look like there was some air trapped against them so the colors didn't translate as well as I would like. it may be a one off set and other will be perfectly fine. For the price I think it's a good buy.

Much clunkier and less than impressive in person

These are fantastic! These are real insects that are encased in acrylic to look like they are in real amber.These will make wonderful teaching tools for a young scientist’s collection. They also have a hole drilled in one end for use in hanging in jewelry making, or my thought was how COOL they might look hanging in a sunny window in a mobile!Good for classrooms, tokens for games— I really like these and cannot wait to give them to my grandsons. It is JUST perfect for their interests at 7 years old.The insects are clear to see— in one I swear that bug is smiling at me! They are preserved impeccably, even their little eyes and pinchers. The acrylic “amber” is smooth and impermeable. I dont think it would be possible *or easy, anyhow* to chip or crack it.They are big (I attached some pictures— some with my hand not edited out so you can see the scale compared to my fingers). Do not allow the children to put them in their mouths, though!This is an excellent product and teaching tool, or they would make pretty awesome handmade necklaces or key chains!

Nice set and decently sized, the bugs all seemed to be in good condition besides a small bit of damage to one’s torso, but otherwise a nice addition to my collection.Will say though that I didn’t get exactly what was pictured, I got one crab and four beetles which I’m totally fine with but I don’t think it said anything about a random selection. So, be aware you might not get exactly what’s pictured!

I got these because I like the way that amber looks and this replicates it pretty well. My whole family liked these and started picking their favorite one to grab out of the group of 5 of them.I think that what you get for bugs is random as I did not get 2 crabs but what looks like a large stink bug and a crab. Also new what what looks like a killer hornet.These are larger than I thought they would be - I have larger hands and they take almost my entire palm area up. The weight matches the size of them so they are nice to hold.There is indeed a drilled hole in each one of them if you would want to hang something like this around your neck. With the weight I would think it would be something better around a rear view mirror or something like that.These are great!

These are very interesting and do seem to have real creatures inside them, but of the five pieces I got, four of them were crabs. What I will say is that the selection is somewhat lacking. They are well made and interesting, but again, mostly crabs.
