Star Wars The Black Series Jaina Solo

Jaina Solo was the twin daughter of Leia and Han from the original Star Wars continuity, before the dark times... before the [Disney] empire. Jaina was one of the best female heroes of the series, a powerful Jedi knight named the Sword of the Jedi by Luke. She was trained by the Mandalorians as well, and fought the Imperial Remnant and the Yuzhaan Vong, eventually becoming the progenitor of the Fel dynasty of Emperors. If you like strong female leads with great character development, I strongly recommend checking out the books surrounding Jaina (The New Jedi Order - as a whole an average series, but with a strong opening and ending). This figure is much better than the last two 6in black series figures I bought. Unlike my Revan and Thrawn figures, the waist mount for the legs isn't lopsided, and this figure stands on its own very well, and is easily pose-able. However, it will take some fiddling to find the center of balance - once you do, poses should be good from there. The pilot uniform was an unexpected but interesting choice, and looks fantastic. The paint job is solid, although there's a little overrun on the silver chest piece of mine, and the helmet stripes are a tad misaligned, but these errors aren't even noticeable. The figure looks great both with and without the helmet though, and is definitely a must-have for any Expanded Universe fan. This is the second figure to come out of the fan choice polls, and last 6in figure. Unfortunately Disney has twice tried to rig the polls, and this year intentionally excluded EU figures after one website accused expanded universe fans of cheating (which they were not, as that website had a completely different nomination process from the other 21 voting sites). As a result Disney handpicked the characters eligible, almost none of which were even top 10 finalists in any of the fan polls, canon or EU. It's unlikely we will get any more unique characters for figures in the future as a result, so I recommend grabbing this while you can. This will be a limited production run, like Revan was. I got mine on pre-order, but unfortunately scalpers have once again scooped up ALL of the figures, which is outrageous.

I was filled with excitement when I heard that Jaina Solo was available on the Black Series toyline of Star Wars on Amazon. I grew up with the Expanded Universe, and if you were to ask me if I’d chose Jaina Solo or Rey. Rey doesn’t stand a chance. This figure shows that she is the best of both worlds, I mean of her parents. She can pilot an ship, like her Uncle Luke and father Han Solo. That’s why she’s wearing a flight suit and Helmet. And the best of all? She has a lightsaber with a detachable blade like all the other Black Series figures. “Her name is Jaina, and she’s a Jedi, like her Uncle and Grandfather before her!” The figure comes with her flight helmet. Which she would need when piloting ships, hence also her attire. She comes with a blaster that can be put in her holster. Which immediately makes me think of Han, and how good he is with a blaster. I can imagine him joking with her and saying “Your force powers are good, but you’ll always need a good blaster kid.” Her purple lightsaber comes with a loop at the end, so you can hook it onto her belt, which is super cool. The only downside I can think of is that she was very stiff at first when I unboxed her. It was hard to move her joints because she’s so thin and I thought I would break her. But I know that Amazon would’ve replaced it if she did break, and now her joints move easily. They do not have a figure of Darth Caedus on the Black Series yet. Even if they don’t I’m not sweating it, I already made a custom Jacen Solo figure. Thank you Amazon for giving us the good Star Wars characters.

This is the character that should have starred in the new trilogy I do not know why they didn't do this I mean if they were looking to do a female lead why not do Jaina Solo I mean they could have made two mystery out of it just called her Jana and not said her last name and revealed it near the end of the force awakens or whenever she met hands they literally could have replaced Ray with this character with some minor tweaks and it would have been ten times better anyway great figure I love the accessories the lightsaber the helmet and everything the whole shebang is great in the Rebellion pilot suit is awesome specially in Black you would think it is an imperial pilot suit at first glance but it's actually a rebel pilot suit or Republic anyway definitely buy if you're a collector cuz you cannot find this in stores barely if you do pick it up for sure

I absolutely love this figure. She is possibly the best Black Series figure to-date. The fact that Hasbro chose her Stealth-X flightsuit as her costume was a great choice, as it highlights that Jaina was a remarkable pilot, not just a Jedi. In terms of head sculpts, she's also got to be my favorite. With no model to base her on, only descriptions and various illustrations, they nailed the cocky Solo grin--better than any Han figures out there. I am very relieved her saber is true purple, and not light pink like the 3 3/4" Jaina Solo figure. My saber's blade is a bit loose, so I can't tell if it's supposed to come out or not, given she has a belt clip. Blaster fits nicely in its holster, and the helmet comes off easily without being loose. She is by every means the perfect representation of Jaina to me. People that are leaving low reviews just because the box was damaged are doing injustice to this excellent figure.

Brilliant figure, nice detail and good amount of accessories. It doesn't mention it anywhere (that I saw) but her flight harness is removable, leaving her in a black jumpsuit with yellow stripes and a belt for her holster and lightsaber. Also, the seller kindly contacted me to say the box had been opened, and did I still want it. I display my figures out of the box so it didn't matter, but I thought it was still a nice thing to do.

Jaina Solo in ihrem Pilotenanzug kommt als Figur einfach verdammt cool rüber und bringt neben Helm und ihrem violetten Lichtschwert auch noch einen schönen DL 44 Blaster als Accessoire mit. Top verarbeitet wie man es von der Black Serie gewohnt ist und für den Preis unschlagbar.

Una de las imprescindibles de las black series. Una de las mejores figuras, por diseño, articulación, accesorios y pintura. De mi colección una de las top five. Compra obligada y a gran precio.

Jaina Solo, from the EU is a fan favourite and this figure did not disappoint. Accessories: Helmet-Fits well, nice detail. Does not slide off her head and also isn't too tight, this is well designed. Blaster Pistol - Fits in her right hand (trigger hand) well, doesn't slip out and fits snugly in the holster without falling out. Lightsaber - Blade can be detached and there is a hook on her belt that it fits on (similar to pilot Luke). The blade is thinner than newer figures and has the potential to bend. Also the hilt is a flexible plastic which could be prone to bending. The figure itself has very good articulation. The head is limited due to her hairstyle. This is a great addition to any collection and is a must have for fans of the EU who remember Han and Leia's three children and not Kylo.
