Realistic, gripping and moving
This is a hugely enjoyable, gripping coming-of-age short novel. Stuart Marshall has huge sympathy for his characters, and the tale of Sam and Vince, as they try to form their band in late 1990’s suburban Surrey, is told with insight, sensitivity and realism. As I read the final few paragraphs, the tears flowed down my face, in a totally unexpected reaction to the end of the tale. I loved it, and am currently recommending it to everyone I know!
