Series 4 Bicycle Disc Lock Premium Pack Bike Lock

I currently live in a city in Michigan that has some of the highest crime rates of theft and break-in in the state. I'm renting in a trailer park community so I don't have a garage for now. I bought this to help me sleep at night or when I have to use my vehicle to transport instead. This is a high quality lock. Although it wont prevent a theft 100% its a great deterrent. I can't see anyone cutting this without a loud high powered grinder or taking the front wheel off. Comes with a key they has a blue light on it and 2 spare keys. You also have the option to register online for free and they will send you replacement keys if you lose the ones you have. I don't really use carrying case that comes with it. I just throw it in my saddle bag and call it good. So far no problems and I highly recommend it if you want to feel a little more safe about your bike. This fits the front brake disk of a 2010 Harley Davidson Superglide Custom. Not so much on the back brake disk though.

Overall good. I place ot on my front guards so I dont have to use the carrying pouch. The only thing is that is very sensitive when turning the key. Plaving it back is a hussle since it it will overturn a bit and avoid the lock bars to move. But overall I feel safer with this lock

This is a quality product that feels very solid and sturdy. I have only felt like I needed to use it once (parking on the street in the Mission District of San Francisco) and I was really glad I had it. Because I rarely use it, I am glad it has the reminder cable that I can run up to my clutch so I don't try to ride off with it on....it would obviously be a short trip if I did. The pouch isn't really necessary unless the intent is to store the lock and the cable both in it. The lock fits perfectly but it is a little difficult to get the cable to fit into it as well. It's too large fit in the space between the "U" portion and the lock. With a little work you can get it in there but it doesn't seem as if it is meant to go in there. The light on the key is a cool feature. It lets off just enough illumination to be able to see the keyhole in the dark. The rubber coating on the lock is a nice finish that keeps from scratching up your wheels and any grease or grime that gets on it can easily wipe off. Once the key is inserted the lock pops right off. Very handy because since you are bending over or are on your knee to get the lock on/off. The same ease does not apply to locking it though. You have to put quite a bit of pressure on the two pieces to get them to connect to lock. While doing this, you have the key that wants to freely spin out of the unlock position as well as the coiled reminder cable trying to tug it out of your hands. Even still, I felt much safer in my meeting in SF knowing that my bike was locked up.

The lock is ok, but it says it comes with a key with a light (flashlight), but all three keys came without it. On the other hand, the pouch clip was broken (the clip is made in very cheap plastic)

My bike is worth 10k so I think it's worth to put this on when you run into the store. The lock mechanism is Rubber coated so no damage to the wheels or disc at all and the lock is smooth ,strong and feels well made as all Kryptonite products do. This has a reminder cable to put around your brake or clutch to remind you not to try to drive away with it on. It screams LOook at me ! security! In bright orange. Yes if there are two real men or 3 would be skinny thieves, which they usually are, they can pick up your bike and put it in a pickup truck, but this adds another layer of security so you can keep your bike.

Saved my triumph explorer from being taken, excellent lock and hatchett proof. Used as stand alone disc lock.
