Q: Does it work for airplanes?

hello,what kind of airplane do you have ?the 35A ESC is used for FPV Racing Drone Multicopter Quadcopter

Q: I just installed these and I'm getting a strange jerky acceleration, as I'm trying climb slowly, I've never had this issue, any idea why?

Double check you esc/motor wiring. Loose or shorts the wiring are likely. Also make sure your motor mounting screws are not too long and poking motor windings.

Q: Can this 35a esc be programmed with your tx for fixed wing or must it be programmed using a computer and the blheli-s software?

Depends upon your flight controller operating software.

Q: Can i program to have the brake off with my tx or a programming card, or must i use a software program like blheli_s and a computer?

Bl-heli configuator and laptop. Or setup betaflight Lua scripts and you can configure pid's, TX, rates, etc from transmitter.
