Great product.
I've found this product brilliant, very accurate on showing where on the course my ball was hit and landed, how far the balls gone etc ,I've been amazed Just how accurate it is, it even recorded my 1st hole in one, great value for money. Easy to set up with a couple of button presses, found my home course in seconds. All data downloads to both my computer and iPhone I Cannot recommend enough. Only a slight downside is battery life is not brilliant, lasts 18 but won't last much longer so shut it down when finished. Highly Recommend. ***** five star product.

Amazing device that will transform your game
I wanted a watch to show distances to front middle and back of the green. There are quite a few watches in the market that can achieve this and the Shot Scope V2 is very comparable on price. So it is bigger than the alternatives and will only ever be a golf watch, but not only does is track front middle and back, but it has hazards for some courses too.A further advantage of this device is that it tracks your golf shots, showing you distances (shortest, average and longest) for each club, based on actual club data rather than guesses from the driving range. This uses simple to fit tags in the handle of your club. They don't affect weight or feel and are for all intents invisible. This will help you understand how to improve club selection on distance data alone. The final cherry on top are the other stats. It will track where you tend to miss, by club, so you will see whether you miss left, right or both. Turns out I have been over compensating for my slice and now consistently miss left. I still thought I was missing right. Will massively help my scores now I know my patterns. Not 5 stars as it is a big device ans looks much bigger than a smart watch or a competitor (but they don't come with all the tracking).

Good....but not great
There are genuinely many things to like about this watch, however there are also quite a few things that need some improvement. I think it's important to say I do not have any regrets with my purchase and I certainly don't want this review to put a prospective buyer off, but there are some things any buyer should be aware of.Let's start with the positives. The GPS accuracy on course is fantastic. I do still use this in conjunction with an app that gives me course mapping as satellite images. Sometimes knowing how far the hazards are is not the same as seeing them on the map! ShotScope tallies exactly with my app for yardages which to me is a great endorsement of ShotScope's accuracy.I love the fact that you can include your penalties/drops etc during the round with a simple push of the button and it even starts a timer for you if you need to look for a lost ball. No running over time looking in the rough! I also really like the fact I can sync my round with my phone immediately after I finish. The stats analysis through the dashboard after you sync your rounds is great. Albeit, it does rely on you correcting missed or incorrectly recorded shots - more on that later. However, having the ability to dig into any aspect of your game is great. The fact it records every shot and you're not guessing at what you did means you can really understand which clubs work for you and which don't, as well as making you think about just pulling the driver out every time when it may actually not be your best club! Now, let's look at where there are room for improvements. First, it's very bulky on your wrist, including the strap and buckle, which for me means that in-swing I actually rub against my opposing forearm to the point it gives me a friction burn. I have to wear a sweatband to prevent this. Now I realise this may be a function of my swing and how I grip the club, but I think my grip is pretty conventional and I am often told I have a good swing, so I am not convinced it is anything I am doing wrong. The charging time is pretty poor and battery life is not the best. You might get two 3 hour rounds out of it at a push, but you won't get two four rounds out of it, so if you are on a golfing holiday, remember your charger so you can charge each night. You can't see your score in-round. There's no function to swap to a scorecard view and know how many shots or putts you have taken at a point in the round. You can only see it at the end after you sync and that leads into my next and biggest frustration....Dropped shots from the round! This is my biggest complaint. Everything else I can deal with, but this really irritates me. I have recorded my score on my phone app due to the point I make above about no scorecard view, so I know what I have scored, but so far after 10 rounds, not once after I sync has the watch recorded all of my shots or correctly recorded drops/penalties! So I have to go into the edit round function and cross-reference my phone app to make sure I have all the shots included. This also means I have to remember most of what happened in my round to fill in the blanks. I shouldn't need to do this. The whole point of having the sensors is to get this right and not mean I need to go in and fill in gaps from memory.I can deal with all of this, it's just not ideal. So far I have been willing to accept it because I really do find the stats analysis fantastic and it is that which I ultimately purchased the watch for. As a 21 handicapper I am looking for some details to hep me reduce that number. Anything that gives me better info on where I go wrong is helpful. So, final verdict? No regrets, but I would love to see some software improvements to get better accuracy and stop the dropped shots issue. It's really easy to use, does for the most part what you want, especially on course GPS mapping, but needs some investment in the sensor and tracking detail. That would make me give it 5 stars instead of 4.

Works great and helps with club selection
I bought this 2018 and is a great watch only thing which was awkward was setting golf club and then making sure to setting it off when arriving to playSetting up the wasn’t that bad and was very easy giving clubs a tag unless you have an odd ball club but then you can edit and correct it.Once that is done It was to the golf course to play those 4 rounds this is so I could get the average of each club and the longest hit.Over 2018 and 2019 I have add new clubs to it and retired one club was which was simple.Got 4 rounds in before making myself a club range template so I knew which club I should be using to get the yardage I wanted.Comparing it to one of my golfing partners who was using his apple iwatch could understand way his shots where always long until I was stood with him comparing distance to the flag and there was about 10/20 yards difference this is because the iwatch was getting it GPS readings from his iPhone which was in his bag 10 yards behind him. Since I’ve bought couple of people I’ve played with have bought it as well so they must have been impressed with itI also like the in-depth details which you can get on the website which gives you miss to left and right off tee down to putting range which is helpful.I has been used to give the pro at the club more info when having lesson to see I need help to improve my game.

There years on - battery doesn't last a full round
Reasonably accurate as GPS.Club distances often don't change for every shot.Putting not record not good at all.Used it roughly weekly for less than three years and now the battery only works for 14 or 15 holes. Can it be replaced.

a technological addition to golf
After now using the tracker for a few rounds it is nice to know that the distance you thought you could hit with the different clubs is easier to check. The amount of information on accuracy, distance and number of putts taken is very useful (if you remember to enter putts on the green). The ability to assess where you went wrong on the round afterwards is a very good part of the package. All the attachments fitted and courses entered with no problems. All in All a very useful addition to my golf armoury

Easy to Set Up. Easy to use. Lots of accurate data.
I received the shot scope V2 from my wife for Christmas. I used it a couple days later and it worked great. I had a terrible day and it very successfully kept up with chasing my ball around the course. I had to fix one shot where the GPS location was off for the tee off (Easily done using my laptop online). I also had to add one shot for a penalty that I forgot to mark using the watch during play. It did a great job documenting my shots including my putts. The pin collect feature worked awesome and was very easy to use.Positives: Accurate, Easy to use on the course, Very Accurate GPS with great documentation of the greens locations, Excellent overhead view of course with shot marking of the rounds following upload of the data, No batteries required in the sensors, The sensors were easy to install.Cons: The side buttons on the watch can be accidentally pushed by your glove or jacket during play. The only side effect of this was that the hole advanced one way or the other and I had to put it back on the correct hole prior to the next shot. This correction only took a brief second and did not affect the recording of shots.Other thoughts: Sure the watch is big (Smaller than diving watches) but it's only meant to be worn while playing golf. The fact that I don't have to pull out my phone to use the system is great. I can leave my phone in the cart or car even with this system. I played a 3.5 hour round and the watch battery was at 65% when I was done. The watch GPS was very accurate and I like that the distance to the green is so accurately maintained by shot scope. The GPS seemed more accurate for the greens than my Garmin was. The watch takes 4 or 5 hours to charge the first time, my watch arrived totally dead. I charged it following the round and it still shows fully charged 4 days later if I turn the watch on (This is expected but I saw a review that said it drained while off, I'm not seeing that). This system seems much better than than other systems that use your phone for the data and required the sensors to have batteries. My putter has a weighted grip so I had to snip off the threads on the sensor and glue it to my putter. I used hot glue for this and it seems very secure.I added a picture of it next to my Garmin Vivoactive HR that I used to use for golf yardages. It is definitely bigger but not so much that it's a bother during golf. Remember it's not meant to be worn as an everyday watch (although an update for that might be coming). It's an awesome piece of tech. Well worth the investment especially for a tech geek like myself.Update 24 July 2019. I've played over 30 rounds now using the watch. It's still awesome. I've had no issues with it whatsoever. Battery life if fine. I would feel naked golfing without it. The mapping of course sand traps and other hazards is great. They recently added an "Explore" tab on the website when navigated to via a computer. It allows you to "Join" courses where your data is compared to and you can see other's data for that course that have also joined it. It automatically tracks longest drive on par 5s and other stats. Add a little fun factor to the system. This system cannot be beat. If you are thinking of buying a shot tracker or even just a golf GPS watch, this is the one for you. I've received nothing from the company for this review by the way, I just love their product this much.

Great product at great price
Very accurate watch, distances were spot on
