Very good looking knives and good hard German steel. Straight no teeth blade is much better for cutting and much easier sharpening. Very good value for the price as well.Now you wonder why 3 star only. Well, the blade tips are not well shaped. I would expect all knives to have a smooth curve blade cutting edge all the way, but if you check the photo I attached, the blade tip actually is some what S curving, which I can only consider as defected. What a shame!Edit: Makami provided excellent after sales service and explained to me that all knives are sharpened by hand and hence there are small difference for each blade. I'm more than happen to learn that and have a peaceful mind to file down the blade a bit and sharpen again myself. But even without doing so, the knives are still very sharp and joyful to use. very balanced and cuts so well.

Good stuff! Timber on the handles is a bit different from the pictures but I still like it!

Outstanding set of knives - handles are not too big, lovely balance and feel and of course the blades are wonderfully sharp - they enhance the enjoyment of a good steak!
