A number of years ago I fell and badly fractured my wrist and arm, having to have two metal rods inserted.For years it hasn't been any trouble, but recently it has begun to ache and throb a lot, so much so I was unable to even lift a cup of tea without difficulty.I have never bought anything like this before, so was unsure as to what to buy. Most wrist straps/supports had removable metal bars, but I didn't feel that was what I needed, then I saw this one!I am SO glad I bought it! It is very comfortable to wear, giving just the right amount of support. The adjustable strap means I can have it as tight as I need, some days tighter than others. The material from which it's made doesn't itch or irritate my skin at all - an important factor, nor does it cause my skin to sweat or become hot.It helps to bring immediate relief, easing the aching etc, and I am no longer afraid to pick up a cup of tea!I am genuinely very glad I bought this. Good value for money, and I definitely recommend it to anyone suffering from an aching, painful wrist!It arrived the day after ordering.

She's been using it for various activities, including work and light sports, and here are our thoughts so far.Pros:Adequate Support: The wrist support does a good job of providing the necessary stability for the wrist. It's comfortable to wear, and my wife has noticed a reduction in pain when she wears it during activities that strain her wrist.No Metal Bar: The absence of a metal bar is a significant advantage, as it allows for flexibility without compromising support. This design feature makes it more comfortable to wear for extended periods.Cons:Loose Palm and Thumb Area: One noticeable drawback is that the support tends to be a bit loose around the palm and thumb area. It doesn't provide the snug fit we were hoping for, which is important for effective wrist support. This looseness can occasionally affect the overall support it offers.Arthritis Concerns: My wife has arthritis, and while this wrist support is helping her now, we are unsure of how well it will perform when her arthritis flares up. It may not provide the level of compression and support needed during severe flare-ups.In summary, the Actesso Elastic Wrist Support with Strap is a decent product for the price. It offers good wrist support without the discomfort of a metal bar, making it suitable for a variety of activities. However, the issue with the loose fit around the palm and thumb area is a concern. As an unfortunate recent user of such supports I knew there will be trial and error before I found most suitable. These are one of the best so far. Here is why: I first tried wrap around neoprene supports and found that they make the area very sweety, though they do provide warmth if that's what you want. I next tried breathable wrap around support (fabric is in ribbons which small mesh gaps), these sorted out sweet problem, but are they are not as well fitting around thumb and sticking out quite a bit which is annoying. This support combines being breathable with snuggle fit, so absolutely perfect for me. With snugness comes another slight draw: it is not as easy to take it of compared with wrap around ones, so if you are cooking for example or doing any other activity involving water, it is better to swap them for wrap around ones to take off and put back on easily.The glove bit that goes on the hand is made of quite thick fabric and is not as easily stretching as I was afraid it might be, so it actually provides support even without the fastening which goes around the wrist. Please choose your size carefully. I have S and it is really for a small hand! I'd say the opening for a thumb is a bit small, hopefully it will stretch, as first hours of wearing gave me a red "circle" where the edge was rubbing around the skin, not painful, but noticeable.Anyway, so far so good considering other option.

This really helped to alleviate the strain and tension from my wrist when I was struggling to move it, and offers great reinforcement for the joint now it’s recovered but weaker. I’m a small build and it fits well, however it’s quite tight at both ends and leaves red marks around my thumb and forearm.Wore it for about 6 hours whilst video editing and 8 hours in the office with next to no problems - however I took it off a couple times and once the wrapping around the bottom elastic snapped. Still works and fits though

Following carpel tunnel surgery, this support was purchased to give light to medium duty protection to the wrist area whilst undertaking everyday tasks which for me, the support performed admirably.
