I used this blade on a Dewalt Cordless Brushless Multitool, having read reviews of various blades before deciding this one was the best for my needs. The equivalent Dewalt blade is known to wear out very quickly after cutting one or two nails, whereas this blade is reputed to do better. I had two copper pipes which were in the wall and at a difficult angle, with too little clearance to use a pipe cutter. I cut through both of these pipes, taking about 60-90 seconds each, after which I inspected the blade to find zero visible damage. Then I tackled two more, thicker, copper pipes in the floor. Again, easily tackled with zero visible damage. Next up, iron. First, a thick iron screw. The blade chopped it off easily, but I could see some very minor damage to the teeth afterwards. Then, two thick iron pipes which needed to be cut off above the ceiling boards, with only a small gap to work through. No space for an angle grinder, so back to the Dewalt multitool and Bosch blade combo. These pipes were harder to cut, taking a few minutes to get through. After cutting the first pipe, the blade was substantially blunted. Nonetheless, it got through the second thick iron pipe too, just with a little more effort required. The only minor downside is that the Starlock system isn't fully compatible with the Dewalt multitool and requires Dewalt's blade adaptor. This adaptor comes in the multitool box, but it doesn't hold the blade as tightly as it does Dewalt made blades that don't require the adaptor. As a result, the blade tends to rotate in the tool while in use, meaning you need to occasionally descend from the ladder and adjust it with an allen key - this happened perhaps 3 or 4 times per pipe. Obviously, this will only affect you if you're also using a Dewalt rather than Starlock multitool. All in all, a great option for cutting through tough metal objects in tight spaces.

Superb ! Never risked an expensive multi tool blade before - always used those little boxes with a dozen or so assorted blades / tools, but given they go blunt in a nano second in balsa wood (ok I exaggerate but you get the idea...) this is a totally different ball game. We’ve had this on the go for a year, (occasionally - but frequently ina. Commercial context doing carpentry on flat maintenance) and its only just blunt a year on. Originally bought to cut through a dozen or so screws that couldn’t be accessed with any other tool - this devoured those like a champ and that is a distant memory. At the time - if it had pegged out at that point it would have been worth its money, as We knew a normal blade would be as a wedge of cheese attempting to cut through them. As it is, it has gone on and on and on - mainly cutting wood, but a mixture of all materials through it’s life. Right now I’m ordering another one - and won’t be looking at anything else. Awesome . Don’t hesitate. Buy it.

I bought this (and related cutter) after my wife lost the key to our boiler cupboard door, that was locked with a 5 pin mortice lock (not going to be picking that). The real kicker was this cupboard contained all of my other power tools I could have used, anyway... This blade cut straight through a hardened steel block bolt on a 5 pin mortice lock in about 20 minutes of cutting with no sign of blunting of the blades, there was some cosmetic wear to the paint but that is expected on any painted blade. If you have metal you just have to cut, this will cut through it and come out the other side laughing.

I have used these many times to cut through very hard materials. Its a 'must' have item in my toolkit.

Read the reviews and thought...give it a go. My Dad bless him' lost the back door key for the garage. The door is fitted with a 3 lever mortice lock so I bought the blade and cracked on with it. The lock itself is brass. Well, within no time at all the lock was cut and a new lock fitted. Jobs a good un.

bought this to cut through some copper pluming pipe to fit in a t joint , took its time to do the first cut and was blunt for the second cut, its supposed to be carbide ( says on the blade) more likely carbon case hardened very disappointed

I have cut through about 24 1/4" rusted bolts and it just goes on and on. It is very good being Bosch and you really do get what you pay for.......

Lasted 5 cuts before it broke cutting 5mm rusted iron pipe. More like lasts 30 times less. Resorted to using a hacksaw which did a better job.
