Ok but perhaps no more info than the Arduino web site. The constant prompting to click for a free gift is very off putting. Would anyone seriously click the links?

I would have awarded no stars at all if I could. This book is a rip off. Double spaced print, print only on about 35% of the page, several blank pages, many pages of ads for other books by the same author. A COMPLETELY basic book that includes some inaccuracies such as saying that a resistor needs to be attached to both legs of an LED! For someone who an not understand the basic literature available free on the Arduino website the book might be helpful. There are many other books that offer the same level of explanation but with much more besides. This is a LONG way from being a "complete" beginners guide.
