Barbie: The Twelve Dancing Princesses [DVD] [2017]

You really can't go wrong with a Barbie princess movie. The heroines are bright and likable without being fodder for princes. The music is always a joy and the storylines engaging to adults and children. We love the Barbie movies in our house because the characters are real role models and embrace everything that little girls love such as dresses, shoes, dancing, friends, reading. I really dislike the whole Bratz phenomenon and the feeling that little girls should be little teenagers. I say, let little girls be little girls and enjoy pink and ballet and magic while they still believe.As with most of the other Barbie movies, this one is based on an original fairy tale where a magic world opens up allowing the 12 sisters to dance and enjoy a secret world hidden from the evil Baroness who has come to steal the throne (think Sound of Music for little girls).

Wow - what a great little dvd for children. Those who watch this are treated to the most beautiful sound track and ballet. The quality of the animation is a little poor, but it makes up for it in the magic of the story and music. My main crit is that you cannot buy the soundtrack to this dvd. And I have only found the song "Shine" which plays when the credits roll, sung in a different language (which I haven't figured out yet! :D ) but it is really well performed.

She loved this one, even though she only has one sister of her own. Every time she watches this, when Barbie dances, she copies her. I was delighted about this as she has medical problems with balance and co-ordination, so if this film encourages her, it's worth it.She knows she'll never be a real Barbie girl or a real Princess, but by watching these movies and others like them, she'll learn the stories and classical music scores too.

Best Barbie movie and it works on the TV when I put it in through the PS4. I'm surprised I found the DVD so cheaply, it's brand new and sealed and was delivered faster than expected!Culture yourself with this movie.

Our 3 year olds desperately wanted. Everytime they saw the trailer on another DVD they'd ask for it. They like the DVD, it's not. a favourite yet.

My daughters favourite movie but we lost our DVD in a recent house move, so I ordered a replacement for less that £5 including delivery. It arrived a day earlier than expected - so good value for money and exceeded delivery expectations.

Scratched disc

DVD glitches really badly, had to stop watching it. Very disappointed
