Learn Sylheti Bangla In 30 Days

I wanted help to learn Bangla so I went looking for text books as I'm old school not knowing Bangla is more a verbal language. Having this book has helped me as I refer to it regularly but I didn't find it easy to learn from because of pronunciation and not having Bangla speakers around me to practise with. However the book is a very useful tool and I'm glad I got it

I’ve been wanting to learn Bengali for ages as my fiancé is from a Bengali family, this book has been amazing in getting me started. Can you do a second book on more things? I have almost learnt this whole book and finding myself wanting to learn more but there is so much it doesn’t cover! Even just everyday objects would help and things like animals. Also, I would say it has helped having a partner who can help me with pronouncing and explain things when I was confused as it’s not 100% clear at parts. However, it has helped me massively to get to grips with the language to thank you!

Only very basic

Ok finding somewhere to learn Sylheti is hard so this is a brilliant resource and I recommend it... However some of the pages appear complicated when trying to figure out which translation matches each phrase.

Very useful, is extra helpful if you have someone who can read out the correct pronunciation for you. Glad this book was written.

Many pages are missing written in a very bad way.

The media could not be loaded. I think it is excellent for young children to learn sylheti and carry out conversations. It's simple to follow and gives good guidance. Highly recommended.

For those familiar with bangla from East bank, this book is a must, as many bangladeshis use the sylheti form. So far this book is unique. Only if you work in Bangladesh or have a community of sylhetis in your neighborhood.

Bought it to help learn phrases so I could understand my boyfriend's parents a bit better. Great book, it's very helpful.

I picked this up so I could learn to talk with my Sylheti girlfriend's mother. I've been able to pick up phrases from this very quickly. It's very well put together, and organised into sections for quick reference.
