Amazing fountain pen and writes really smoothly. Pretty easy to refill with cartridges. Excellent for calligraphy and writing cards.Just remember if you aren't going to use it for a while (a few weeks) the ink will clog up inside the nib so you need to soak it in warm water for a while to get the ink out.

This is a lovely pen, a bit on the chunky side, but writes as well as my other much higher value pens.

I really love fountain pens and pretty much they are the only type of pens I write with. I have all kinds ranging from cheaper TWSBI's to really nice Montblancs. I had never tried a Chinese pen, or a wooden one for that matter, and I had read some pretty good comments about them in general, so this pen allowed me to try out both aspects.The pen comes securely boxed in an outer white cardboard box, inside here there is the Mooker case which is a faux leather, inside here is the pen, nestled securely on a cushioned bed. So no worries about any possible damage in transit.The pen itself is finished pretty well, the cap fits securely, so there should be no chance of it coming off in a pocket. The barrel and cap are both wood which is finished smoothly, the section is plastic and there is some gold coloured hardware like bands and pocket clip which are also well made. It has a steel nib which is not at all scratchy and writes well, so all in all I am pretty impressed with this for the price.The pen comes with a convertor which to be honest doesn't look the greatest, but hasn't leaked so far, but this could be replaced cheaply enough if need be. Obviously you could also just use International Cartridges.The pen is quite slim and smaller than I would normally choose to use, I tend to prefer larger oversize pens, but not withstanding this is actually a great value pen.

I am of the old school generation, whereby at school, we were expected to write with a fountain pen. Sadly for convenience this has quickly been replaced by fine liner pens and biro style pens. I find my writing suffers terribly, with these alternatives.I decided to o back to the good old fountain pen and I am so glad I have, I am actually looing forward to writing all my Christmas cards this year, my writing is significantly improved and there is a real sense of pleasure in using the fountain pen.I love the style of this pen, well presented in a mock leather casing, held securely (I would however change the silver strip but that is such a minor thing and doesn't distract from the pen itself). The wood gives a nice hold and feel, the nib is smooth and the ink just rolls of it with ease, no scratching, just smooth.I always used a parker fountain pen at school, generally the more expensive rather than the vector and this pen feels very similar, it just has that luxurious edge being wood. For the price I think it makes for a great pen and would make a great gift too.I am personal delighted with it and will be off out buying more ink very soon, I can see me gravitating back to writing much more.

Upon opening the box it looks well planned with the material carry case.The pen comes in a very faux leather box that closes satisfyingly, however disappointing the support strap broke after taken the pen out.When writing with the pen it feels light but secure and solid. The two tone tip makes for a nice touch.Haven't had any leaks yet, however only used the pen for short notes while at work. Looking forward to using it to write the Christmas letters.Would be a great stocking filler!Best Feature - Love the wooden feel of the penTo Change - stronger support strap to hold the pen, possibly some elastic that doesn't snap.
