Works Perfectly with my Existing Rigid Saw
I have wanted a track saw for some time. However I did not want to want to buy a new saw and track. I have a 7.25" Ridgid saw and really like it. So I saw a review on youtube and decided to get the track and added the extensions to cut up to 8 foot long plywood. The total was about $180.00. It was easy to install the saw in the carrier and I trimmed the red plastic splinter guard. So far so good. Yesterday I got some rough sawed lumber that was 12 feet long. So I cut it into two 6 foot pieces to more easily store it. I used a single track and it cut perfectly. The clamps held the track in place and it was so easy. The only issue I foresee is the saw is held in the carrier and if you want to remove it for freehand sawing it would have to be reassembled and calibrated with the supplied spacer. So far that has not been a problem and using it with a single piece of track was very easy. Overall I am very pleased with the performance. My main purpose is to cut down 4x8 sheets of plywood. I use a 1" piece of foam insulation and lay that on the floor and cut the pieces into manageable pieces to finish cutting on my table saw. It is very dangerous to try and handle 4x8 pieces of plywood on the tablesaw by myself. I have had a plywood shooting board for years but sometimes you can get off track so t he track saw is the answer to avoid that. Not sure if they have a router base to go on the track system but that would also be nice. A friend has the Makita and I have used that so I think the two are comparable and you dont have to have a Makita saw and just use what you have. That makes the price very law compared to the complete systems of Makita, Festool, Dewalt and others. I looked at the cheap versions but again you had to buy a new saw and track which is much more than the Milescraft system.

I LOVE THIS TRACK KIT!
I bought the Milescraft Track saw kit and extension kit because I was so frustrated with trying to cut long pieces of plywood with another brand of rip cut kit. The Milescraft kit is awesome! Absolutely no need to spend $800 on the kits that come with a special track saw. I have used the Milescraft kit several times this week and it makes perfectly straight cuts quick and easy, every time. I highly recommend it for anyone. I’m a 63 year old retired female, just getting into woodworking. I put a big 4x8 2” thick sheet of styrofoam insulation on top of my workbench then place the plywood on top, mark my line and place the track on top of the plywood and clamp it down. This way I don’t need anyone to hold the piece I’m going to cut off. It works fantastic! It’s very easy to put together and attaching your saw to the track saw guide is also easy to do. It helped me to watch a few YouTube videos while attaching the circular saw. I don’t usually write reviews, but this track saw kit is all “pro’s” and no “cons”.

track saw system on a budget, without budget results
the Milescraft track system is one of the best woodworking purchases I've ever made. These extensions let me rip down 8 feet of stuff without going to the table saw, and they produce repeatable, accurate results. For a fraction of the cost of the german one, this is a deal and a half.

Very nice
Works great especially for the price , good quality at a fraction of the price for a track saw.

Good Build Quality for very reasonable price
If you have a good circular saw that you prefer, then getting this system to create a track saw is ideal. It's lightweight, comes will all the hardware to extend it. I have the initial kit and these two extension rails which allows me to cut a full 8' piece of plywood lengthwise. I gave it only 4 stars, as the clamps on the initial kit are a bit wimpy and bend if you tighten them very much - which really has nothing to do with this extension kit, since the clamps don't come with this piece, but you need the initial kit in any case. I actually use separate, sturdier clamps, since I like to have a nice, stable rail, especially over a long distance.Milescraft should pay attention to user reviews, as the clamp issue detracts from the usefulness of the product and leaves a bad impression of the company. However, the sled that attaches your circular saw to the rails is very good, well designed, very adjustable, sits nicely in the rails.

Made a believer out of me
I needed to be sure I could use my circular saw to cut perfectly straight cuts in some cherry slabs so I tried these. They worked perfect and I am glad I purchased them instead of the much pricier ones available on the market.

Love this item
I don't always want to use the table saw especially when I'm cutting milled lumber I cut myself. This allows me to cut the rough edges from sawed lumber with ease. I bought some 1/2 inch foam board and cut it into 4 pieces and glued them together to make a 2 inch board. It was much cheaper to buy this piece than the thicker foam boards. I lay this on my 2x4 table, clamp the tracks down with minimum tightness, and saw away. Love the product.
