I’m a big fan of the VisionAid Magnifier and it’s really helped me to up my miniature assembly and painting game!I’d previously tried quite a few alternatives before from other suppliers but always found them to be too cumbersome - they either get in the way generally or not offer enough light or magnification to make it worthwhile.With the VisionAid, it’s really lightweight and comfy to hold or easy to set up using its freestanding mode. The light has four different settings to help you pick what’s right for you - I’ve found the warm light (option 2) to be my favourite although when I’m paying particular attention to colour then option 1 is more colour accurate.Whichever option you choose though the image is really clear with the 30x magnification. I was able to spot new issues with models I’d previously painted that since look way better now I’ve gone back and touched them up. I’ve also found it unexpectedly to be a great way to photograph my models through the lens and share them with friends and fellow hobbyists!Finally it’s also worth mentioning the case. Being a parent of small kids having a nice hard-shell case to securely put the magnifier away is really helpful. It’s also a good size and just generally makes it look and feel even more premium. Definite recommend for anyone else that needs to see small details up close!

This is an easy to use magnifying glass, and the hands-free features and lighting are great. I find after a full charge I can only use it for a maximum of one hour before the lights go dim and it wants re-charging. I find the 40x loupe additional lens impossible to use because it's small and not hands-free, so it's really only useful for me for the 30x larger magnifying glass. That being said, if 30x is enough for your purposes then it's a great piece of equipment.

I bought this magnifying glass for an elderly relative who is struggling with her reading & seeing things up close in general. She loved it! She was able to see clearly through the glass with the lights on or off. I liked the fact that it’s on a stand, so it can be used hands free or as a normal looking glass. There’s an option to charge with a USB cable, or 3x AAA batteries for convenience. I managed to convince another relative struggling with their vision to get one. The weight is solid, but not heavy, it’s comfortable to hold & is stable on a surface if you wish you use it hands free. My relative commented on the good magnification. Overall I’m very happy.

This magnification is OK, but if you need the light on you have to keep it plugged in.

Good light, strong magnification.

Bought this for my wife as part of her chrismas pressie. She does a lot of crafting and fine work. Nicely packaged, added 3 AAA batteries, switched on and had a go myslef before wrapping it. Really impressed. Good weight to it, nice on the stand thats a hands free bonus. Good glass lens and the lights really help out. REally like how it can be used on its own stand. A very good magnifying glass thats for sure.
