I've tested a few thumb picks lately and so far these are the most suitable. With a bit of practice, I can adjust my technique to cover the various styles I want to play. I can even use these to get upstrokes too as with a conventional flat pick but it would take a bit of getting used to to try and play fast-ish alternate picking. I've got small hands and the medium option is the smallest I could see on here and these fit me without slipping so bear that in mind.

Dunlop gör de bästa tumpicksen och de finns i tre storlekar S, M och L. Jag har relativt små händer och M passar mig perfekt.

I've been a guitar player my whole life, and am new at the banjo. Based only on my limited experience, these picks seem good to me. Note: My hands aren't particularly big, and these medium picks are a bit small for my thumb. I guess I'll need to buy some in the large size. (I don't know what pick size guys with LARGE hands buy. hmmm... Maybe guys with big hands don't play the banjo?) Update: I stretched these out a bit by submerging them in boing water for several seconds and then putting them on the handle of a butter knife. They now fit perfectly. If you do this, be careful not to stretch them out too much. Just a little bit might be enough. Also, only leave them in the boing water briefly. I ruined one by leaving it in for about a minute. That was way too long.
