I loved this trash can for about 3 months. Then the plastic hinges on the lid broke just from the simple opening and closing mechanism. Not worth the money.

Do not buy this!! In just 2 months, the lid broke by itself. The hinge for the lid is so weak! It’s not worth the money that we paid!! Horrible product quality!

I am in love with this motion sensor trash can. The bin is very easy to set up and was packaged well inside two boxes and Styrofoam. I love the sleek design and this Step n’ Sort fits right in with my kitchen décor. The inner bins are easily removed and color-coded for easy cleaning. I particularly like the blue recycling bin color and there is also a matching blue strip on the lid so you know which side to use for recycling. The bin opens with a sensor and I really like that you can adjust the sensor to the distance you want. An extra bonus is that you can completely turn the sensor off. This is great, while I’m away at work my dog cannot get into the garbage! Overall, I am thrilled with this purchase and would definitely recommend. This is a very beautiful, unique, and practical unit that is definitely worth every penny. Just keep in mind, it requires 3 D size batteries and they are not included.

I love this because I feel fancy throwing away garbage with a wave of my hand. It will sometimes tear half full garbage bags on the way out.

I got this yesterday June 28 and I am returning it June 29. Got the batteries place them in. The lid open ok for about 3 mins after that it stop. It only made the opening sound and the closed sound(without actually opening. Tried it again before I pack it to ship back and guess what it’s not even opening still. It shows that the battery life is good so I don’t know. It’s too expensive to be this defective. It’s a waste. Y’all need to get better products because this ain’t it
