Great quality
I bought the Hekiway Solar Drip Irrigation Kit on Amazon, and I’m so impressed! It was easy to set up, and it worked perfectly right out of the box. The solar panel powers the system efficiently, and my plants have been getting just the right amount of water without me having to worry. I love that it’s eco-friendly and doesn’t need to be plugged in. It’s been a lifesaver for keeping my plants healthy, especially when I’m busy or away from home. All my plants are thriving now thanks to this kit. Highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a reliable and easy-to-use irrigation system for their garden or potted plants!

Good idea, needs work
Pros: This is a great idea, and I enjoyed the adorable garden tools that it comes with (useless, but cute). On more useful note, it comes with plenty of tubing, tees, drippers, and even includes scissors. It was relatively easy to put together, especially after letting the tubing sit in the hot sun for a few minutes. Cons: the fittings are fragile, and you must be gentle as well as firm when pushing the tubing onto them. After only 2 weeks in the sunshine, they get brittle. They still work fine... so long as you don't mess with them. So set it up, then don't touch it! If this thing keeps working, I'll probably replace the tubing and fittings with better stuff. The in-betweens: the solar panel and pump unit are combined, which makes it awkward to use the buttons on the control panel. I basically memorized where the "manual" button was so I can push it via the Braille method to test the system. Also, the solar panel unit must be higher than the water reservoir so that the "on" cycle doesn't start a siphon that drains the water bucket after the pump clicks "off". Although they provide 15 drippers, that would be fine only for indoor potted plants that only need " a sip" each. For outdoor plants, I wouldn't recommend using more than 8 drippers, in order to provide enough water per plant. I use this solar waterer for refilling ollas (look it up) which then provide the plants with water anytime they need it. Rather than refilling a bunch of individual ollas, I now just refill 1 bucket. I don't know how long-term reliable it will be. Still testing... UPDATE May 2025: I have 2 of these solar waterers, and 1 has quit working after only 1 month of gentle use (protected from rain & moisture). I will attempt to contact the company... UPDATE part 2: Impossible to contact the seller directly, and Amazon makes it difficult to ask any questions outside of their preprogrammed responses. So, there's no recourse. Bad quality product. Waste of money.

Brittle drip lines and water safety restrictions
I got this so that I could have a large water container on a timed drip system into the garden bed. I will say that in terms of watering that garden bed for the summer, it worked well enough for awhile and had some annoyances but ultimately got 2 good months of watering out of it. To summarize the extended information below : instructions say not to get he solar panel wet, drip lines underground became very brittle and broke after 2 months, lots of beeping, overpriced for how much use I got out of it. There are restrictions in the instructions like not getting the underside of the solar panel wet because the button panel isn't water safe. So having it outdoors in a rainy area seems unhelpful. I live in the desert so I adjusted the solar/button box in the hopes of it not getting wet and since it doesn't rain here, didn't have issues with that. The instructions were also unclear on exactly what the different intervals actually mean. After observing for 2 days it was easy to pin down that it would drip for 5 minutes every 12 hours. The beeping for errors like low water is annoying AF. I'm glad that my neighbors didn't complain but I could hear the beeps from across the yard and would run to turn them off until the next day or else everyone around me would probably go mad. The bigger issue was around longevity. After about 2 months, the plants didn't seem to be doing as well and I checked on the drip lines (since they're under the dirt) and a bunch of connections were snapped. I pulled them up to repair the piece that I found snapped and the lines were snapping and brittle and by the time I had the line out, it was too much unrepaired. The blue drippers were fine but all the connector pieces and even points in the line snapped like dry spaghetti. Mystery of the garden turning sad was solved. There were also a lot of times that I would have to push the drippers back under the ground because the vibrating from the machine would slowly move them up in the dirt. You can even see the soil vibrating when the watering turns on. If I was able to use this system for a few years or seasons, I would be happy. But 40 dollars for not even a full season is why I docked the stars. I could probably buy different connectors and re-do it all but my previous setup that cost slightly more and lasted me a few years and no headaches was more cost effective in the long run.

AMAZING PRODUCT !!! Great value!!!
I must say if all the products I have purchased from Amazon this is absolutely one of the BEST!!! If you’re a gardener and need a water solution You have found it !!! This solar pump is AMAZING!! It works perfectly and after my initial USB ( C ) charging the sun has provided all the power to activate and maintain to pump . I have only once had to recharge unit over the last couple of months otherwise as I indicated the sun has charged unit . This kit comes with everything you need to maintain a small area , I have mine in a 12 ‘ by 5’ raised garden . I’m using a five gallon bucket for the pump to draw out of . I’m going to switch to a bigger water reservoir so ( think inexpensive plastic storage container) so I don’t have to fill the reservoir as much . I can’t express how well built this pump !!! DO NOT HESITATE to purchase this fine product. I also have some history from a friend that turned me on to this pump and he’s in his 2nd year of usage and it’s still performing flawlessly.

Eco-friendly way to keep their plants healthy and hydrated.
I’m really impressed with this solar drip irrigation system—it was easy to set up, works exactly as advertised, and has made plant care so much simpler for me. The 49-foot hose was more than enough to reach all 15 of my pots, and the solar panel charges well even with partial sunlight. I love the 25 timer modes, which let me customize watering schedules depending on the weather or plant needs. The water flow of 30.4 fl oz/min is consistent and strong, and I haven’t had any leaks or clogs so far. It's perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, and it saves me a lot of time and water.

Ideal for those looking to keep their plants healthy without the hassle. 🌱💧☀️
I found this solar irrigation system to be an excellent investment. Installation was simple and requires no electrical connection, as it runs on solar energy, making it very practical and environmentally friendly. It comes with all the necessary accessories to set it up, and the hoses are of good quality. The best thing is that it keeps the plants well watered automatically, even when I'm not home. The water flow is adjustable and is perfectly suited to both pots and small gardens. The built-in battery stores enough energy to keep it working even on cloudy days.

Works great, pump quick to burn out
Easy to install, easy to use, motor and pump are quick to go. I have a greenhouse with two large "herbal" plants. I set this up connected to a 12 gallon tub of water. For the first month it worked great, no issues. About 5 weeks in and the pump quit working. I ordered a second one and will see if it was user error that burned out the pump early. I kept the first one, the internals are easy to figure out and I think I can put a different DC motor and pump in it off eBay with some minor modifications.
