You can't find a better distortion pedal for this price
I'm really glad that I decided to try this pedal. It has a great sound, it's versatile, with great eq and drive circuits. I'm not really "gear crazy" when it comes to particular sounds or tone-chasing, but I think this pedal can be used for a variety of sounds, particularly high gain metal of course. The controls on this pedal are intuitive. The Red and Blue aggression modes don't come with an explanation, they are additional "voices" that boost gain or distortion levels. But at the end of the day, I have fun changing settings, and trying things, and see what I come up with, and this pedal allows me to do just that. EQ controls are actually useful, unlike some gear that seems to find frequencies that aren’t worth boosting or cutting. When you go for scooped mids, you will get what you're looking for. Most pedals worth buying these days are upwards of $200. So when I saw that there was a pedal suited for a good metal overdrive sound for only $60, I decided to look into it.I don't know how I discovered this brand and this pedal originally, but I looked it up on YouTube for a demonstration and reviews. I was convinced to give it a try and I'm glad I did.For the record, I am somewhat unconventional in my instrument choices. I use this pedal with the Ibanez SRC6 in drop D, and the Schecter Riot 8-string bass. I am just getting back into metal rhythm guitar, but I usually play bass, and I love this pedal for the 8-string. The octave strings help to drive the top end bite. The other distortion pedal I have used with the 8-string bass is the Tech-21 dUg pedal, which has a great sound but not as versatile, so the DemonFX R3 gives me many options I wasn't able to get before. But seriously, this is a $60 pedal that does the same thing as a $230 pedal, this is a no-brainer. I'm always skeptical about cheaper gear, but Demon FX has built some high quality gear. I would compare them to Joyo and Behringer, they are making fantastic, durable pedals for reasonable prices.I'm going to check out their other pedals, I'm looking at their Ravine reverb pedal next.Thank you, Demon FX, i'm excited about being able to get more gear for less, so I can enjoy my hobby, my passion for metal music. 🤘🏼

Great
This pedal rips. I know it's more aimed towards metal/hard rock but it also sounds great with the gain dialed back. Pedal exceeded expectations.

Broke player's choice
Loud and clear, though my ears like the R4 better.

Revelation 3 Distortion by Demon FX
This is a Revv G3 clone; which I do own a real Revv G3. This pedal sounds great!!! I am impressed on how close this pedal sounds to a real Revv G3!! This pedal delivers killer articulate, tight and thick soaring lead tones as well as nice chug-tastic rhythm tones. This cost about 1/4 of a real Revv G3 pedal!!! I will buying another one!!!

Do. Not waste your money!
The circuitry is not like the REVV pedal at all.And (in my experience) its too clipping to even overdrove your gain channels when its on with the amps overdrive channels, i could hear my fingernails growing along with all other unheard annoying sounds

Good quality but bugs in the schematics
The PCB looks exactly the same as Revv G3. But it has bugs in the schematics. Because of this it doesn’t sound even close to Revv G3. The bugs I found are the next. Resistor R18 must be 82k while 33k is installed. R23 must be 22k while 10k is installed. Capacitor near the test point T5 between capacitors 100nf and 220nf must be 47nf but 22nf is installed. Once you fixed these 3 bugs the pedal would sound close to Revv G3.I would recommend to buy it as a kind of kit which requires some love )) (means soldering) to make sound cool.

Great Pedal
I had the Revv G3 that this pedal is based on. This one sounds great and is much more affordable!
