Amazing rod for the price everything works as it should I’ve had it for over a month and nothing has broken on it if it does your not using it right. It’s not all about who has the most expensive rod if you set this thing up right it will cast without thumbing it. Recommend

It gets tangled into a rats nest!

The media could not be loaded. I bought my 10 year year-old this rod in December2023 for Christmas. Thought it was a good deal despite some of the negative reviews that were left which the common denominator of the negative reviews were that the rod would just simply break snap at the tip. My wife and I took a chance on it my son was excited and loved the way it looked and felt, first half pound bluegill that bit broke the tip off the rod just like it said on other peoples negative comments? They’re not gonna do nothing for us on Amazon. I can’t do nothing because “it’s been to long ago.” it’s circumstantial here to have known earlier like I couldn’t take him fishing until yesterday. You know Ohio it freezes in early year because winter comes late and school ended just a month ago. it just broke by foot and half of it not on the joint broke off the top of the rod.He takes a lot of honors classes in summer as well so we just got out to go fishing for the first time this season so Amazon’s not trying to do anything for me as far as refunds or exchanges are concerned I’m relying on onebass to reach out and help us manage this.

So I havnt got to get out on the water with this combo yet, I will absolutely update you when I do. Now right out of the box the reel is a small bait caster but feels good on the rod. It was very smooth when filling the spool with line. ( I filled it with 20# braided line) I can't say anything about the drag system, the reel brake, or the casting ability yet but I will update after using it on the lake next week. As for the rod,, I'm not a fan of 2 piece rods but as they go this seems just as solid as my Walmart version Berkley lightning rod. However it's thin, and doesn't seem like it's going to have that hefty back bone for those big fish or throwing big swim baits. The handle grip on the rod does feel betternin hand than some of my more expensive casting rods though, But again I'll update on that after hitting the lake next week. I plan on testing it on using everything from wacky rig senkos, Texas rig plastics, crank baits, swim baits, jigs, and even live bait (shiners) I will update how it does on all baits, and casting methods, from chucking a big old swim bait to flippn and pitchn baits under docks and into thick cover. As of right now it does seem like a good option as a back-up rod or even a rod for the friend who wants to come fish but doesn't have any gear..but like i said, the bass will tell me more in the next couple days

Definitely got what I expected out of this combo! Got it on sale and it has been performed as expected for the price and make! I got the blue combo and love the color on it. Paired it with blue braided line and cast surprisingly smoothe. Im still a little skeptical on the rod as I try not to rip the fish out of the water when i set the hook but so far it has held up nicely.

This is a really nice rod and reel combo. It is definetely worth the money.It is durable a has a nice grip on the handle. But it feels like the tip could break while on a big bass but since I only caught dinks with this rod and reel it didn't break.
