Every beat you take.....
I LOVE this monitor. I wanted something inexpensive but would still function as if it was the top of the range. I've just started running again so I really didn't want to invest in a HRM band and watch. I was sceptical at first as all the reviews on the app was so old and I wasn't sure if I needed the HRM strap and a watch, but when it said it pairs with apps, I figured the watch will only duplicate my phone. I wasn't wrong and glad I invested in this. Great for newbies like me and this producted is so under rated! The beauty of this make, is that it pairs with so many apps. I tried the 60beat app but it was one of the worst. I settled on Endomondo and I haven't looked back since. I use it when I go running and when I do any form of workout. I know it's not an accurate science, but generally I've burnt the equal amount of calories as set out by the programme.I've told friends and family about how happy I am with this monitor, I doubt my app would've worked as good if I didn't have the band and I've been so motivated that within 3hr:49min I burnt about 2500 calories. I know it's not much for some, but as a fitness newb who has decided to go running even if it's raining, who passes on cake and reached for a carrot stick I'm pretty darn pleased with myself and a brilliant piece of kit... Whatch out Mo Farrah I'm coming for you :)

Unreliable product. Would not recommend purchase.
So I've had this product for over 6 months now and I have to say that I'm not happy with it at all. At first, it seemed to work quite well, pairing it with my phone to use with the related app was fine, it recorded somewhat accurately what my heart rate was but after a while and this was a very short while it started to give unrealistic data back. At a number of intervals it gave me a heart rate of over 220 which I know is not correct. I'm a fit and active person so I know that the data was not correct. After a short while the battery also died.Unfortunately, I was a bit too optimistic with thinking that it will eventually work correctly but it didn't and I was not able to return it as it was after the 30 day return policy. I'm looking to get in contact with the manufacturer but I think it'll be a dead end with them too. Money down the drain but hopefully this review will help others in deciding not to get this as I'm sure there will be others out there that will do a better job and for much longer.Overall very disappointed with the product.

When I finally got it working it was great...
As ever, Amazon's service and delivery was excellent. The unit itself was a little frustrating to start with. The instructions could be a lot better - they are very basic and don't really explain much. This was made worse because the supplied battery was dead flat. As this wasn't expected, we really struggled with the very basic instructions. Once we bought a new battery and replaced it we were able to get the unit working and synced up with the 60beat app (downloaded from the App Store) and then with Map My Walk which is the app we use. Now, the 60beat unit fits easily into our running routine - it is comfortable to wear and easy to operate. It also allows us to track exercise such as gardening and vacuuming that aren't trackable on Map My Walk without it.A great unit to buy, and Amazon is a great place to buy it.

Works....sort of.
I have an iPhone 5S and have been looking to hook up my heart rate to a popular running app while doing away with the watch I was carrying at the same time.So after much research I settled on the 60beat.I found that while connecting wasn't an issue, at the beginning I had to pair the the monitor a few times, I did get some very strange readings and in one session it appeared to have recorded my heart rate prior to me actually beginning my run. This might have been the fault of the app and I haven't attempted to recreate it but if it happens to you I suggest simply turning bluetooth off and back on just before you start your run.So it isn't super accurate, some of my readings have gone off the chart, but overall I'll get by. The running app needs an edit mode because I know this happens across all products to a degree.

I am happy with this product
I am happy with this product, value for money, works via Bluetooth and does exactly what it says on the "tin" I find it better to track my calories burned this way rather than, choosing activity and time. Depence of your heart rate I can acuratelly watch the calories burned during the work out in gym and I don't have to separately log 3-4 activities. ALso this has great sense of tracking in which heart rate zone you are exercising so I am aware, when I push my heart, too far.

Great product
Great heart rate monitor, well made, easy to connect via blue tooth. No hassle, can use straight out of the box. Would recommend to anyone who is serious about fitness. On the iPhone app it tracks the amount of time your heart rate spends in each zone. I really like this, because as your fitness improves, you are spending more time in the lower zones,Where it falls down is that it does not retain a history of previous workouts, but I record my results in a spreadsheet.

This isn't as good as I thought it would be, but saying that it does what I need it to do. Worthwhile if you don't want anything too technical.

Works great with my Nexus 4 and Strava while mountain biking
Works great with my Nexus 4 and Strava while mountain biking. It has a great range, I sometimes use it to record my heart rate while playing badminton using the iCardio app. It has no problem picking up the signal from anywhere on the court when the phone is in my bag at the end of the court.
