Double ended hooks are essential for knitters.
I found these double ended hooks late in my knitting life and I now have many. this set is perfect for keeping them in several favored knitting chairs and bags. The double ended hook makes it easy to fix dropped stitches in garter pattern. And having so many sizes is a plus. Great value.

These hooks are Japanese standard sizes.
The number of sizes of hooks is impressive, and the double ended aluminum hooks set doesn’t take up much room in a bag. These are great hooks, if you know that a number followed by a slash and a zero mean Standard Japanese sizes for crochet hooks. The solution is looking up a chart online to compare Japanese, American, and metric sizes. That makes it possible to know which hook to use for your pattern or the suggested number on the yarn label. The hooks themselves are light, easy to hold and come in most American sizes to size 8, 5.00 mm. There are close matches for a few American sizes, as in being half way in between two sizes. There are also a couple of sizes that don’t have a close match, but for someone wanting to use a Japanese pattern, they are the answer to recalculating the number of stitches. Just follow the Japanese pattern as written. They are also terrific for picking up dropped stitches in knitting. I find the flat section in the middle of the hook much easier to hold than knitting repair hooks I have used. The large variety of sizes makes it possible to easily find a size the works with the yarn.

Not for Tunisian crochet. Very different sizes mark the same.
Sizes are in Japanese sizing? The size differences on the hook are too vast. Might be able to use one maybe two hooks in this set for Tunisian, but the difference in sizes just messes up the project. Returned, unusable for my needs. They're pretty short and not the best end point either. Update: when I compared all the hooks marked size 5 it's easy to see that the shafts are not even the same size. Even more frustrated since their numbers seem to mean nothing.

Learning new crochet
Perfect for the Tunisian crochet that I was learning to do

Non-standard sizes
These are fine hooks, except the marked sizes don't match any sizing system I recognize. There are two hooks with ends marked "7/0" and they're different sizes. The smaller one appears to be 4.0mm, which would be the Japanese standard 7/0, but the larger is substantially larger. This is absolute chaos but if you pair them with a size gauge so you know what you're using, they're a nice variety of sizes.

Double ended crochet hooks work well for 2 strand Tunisian crocheting
I was trying a new stitch technique and someone suggested instead of using TWO separate crochet hooks, get ONE with a hook at each end.. and it worked. Definitely different and very useful for Tunisian crochet and knitting where you load stitches one way and have a "return" in the opposite direction, or if you're trying to work with TWO strands/colors of yarn... very useful!

Cobee double-ended crochet hooks
Because they are so nice they are a little small but hard to hold in your hand but otherwise a great product

Confusing sizes
They really are that golden shiny, but the size markings are a system I never saw before. Not mm or the letter sizes. Each end is a different size, some not even close, so they are not useful for Tunisian crochet in the round. Most useful for someone doing regular crochet who wants 20 different unmarked sizes but only has room to store 10 hooks.
