I usually buy my shrink wrap in long strips so that I can cut it to some length my brain tells me is ideal in the moment, but that left me with a wild bunch of tubes taped together.I was happy to find these perfectly organized in a length that makes sense, but the best thing for technical reasons is that they shrink 3x when heated. Shrink tube was historically 2x, and that makes it fidgety to put a small enough tube on your wires to start.These are a lot better, and easier to work:- The outer label is covered in certifications like RoHS- The inside of the lid has another giant label showing the diameters of each compartment.- Labels are plastic, and water splashes are not absorbed. i.e. good in a marine environment.- A test showed a 6mm tube shrunk to 2mm after heating.- No smell, no bubbling or burning after using a Bic lighter on it.- Slightly flexible after heating.Cons: the box is not a #1 or #5 recycle.

This kit comes with over 400 pieces of double walled, adhesive lined heat shrink tubing that will produce a sturdy and waterproof connection when heated. It cuts easily if you need a certain length. I used a heat gun and the shrink effect is quick and accurate, secures itself to wire without much help from me! The adhesive inside actually forms a ring around the ends of the tube so you know that waterproof seal is in effect. This is a great box to have around for many different projects. Highly recommend this brand.

I don’t use shrink tubing often which means when I need it, I never have it and when I go to buy it in short lengths for a project, it gets pricey. This is a nice bulk pack of assorted sizes that will not only last me for a while, but the cost per inch is much lower than what I’ve been doing.I used these with a dual temp heat gun on low. I tend to be impatient which means I always overheat these things. With that being said, if you use low heat and apply it evenly to the whole tube, you won’t have any problems. These are maybe a hair thinner than some of the other types I’ve used. It doesn’t appear that they are any less durable but the resulting area won’t be as stiff as some other brands, especially if you’re using it for tension control on a new plug or something. That being said, it does come with interior adhesive for moisture prone applications so that makes them a bit premium to others. I am using this at home in a dry environment so I can’t attest to how waterproof your junction will be if you use this on a boat or something. They shrink very well if you match them correctly to the wire gauge you’re using and they grip adequately with the adhesive. It’s a solid product for the hobbyist.

I tested for pulling strength after heating and it still has a rubbery feel and is good in my opinion. I also tried using it over bare stranded wire exposed and it seals tight and leaves the tubing flexible over the wire casing.Vacuum cleaner cords are good examples of having cords which over time have a portion of the cables shear off and copper exposed. These tubings are perfect for sealing them by cutting one side of the tubing before heating, then after heated the tubing shrinks and seals the area that gives a tight but flexible fit.Overall this is a good product and worthy of 5 stars. Having the case is also a bonus and thanks to Eventronic for including one. I recommend this item for quality, value and the large assortment that should complement any work area.

According to the hubby, this is a great assortment to have on hand for automotive, boat, or outdoor wiring splices. The material is tough but shrinks quickly and the adhesive expands out of the ends, making a watertight seal. It shrinks at least 3 times its diameter and remains tough and durable. It has excellent tensile strength and strongly adheres to the wire jacket. He’s very happy with this. Highly recommend.

Tested it, and this is indeed 3:1 heat shrink tube.The heat activated adhesive on the inside of the tube bonds well to wires, plastic, paracord, and metal surfaces. It was a weak bond to wood when I tried it.400 pieces of various sizes. All the sizes are useful to me - no tiny ones. 3/32" to 3/4".All are 45mm long, or about 1-3/4".Everything is by size in a plastic compartmentalized box. The box closes tight enough that none of the sizes got mixed during the trip here. Makes it easy to find the size I want without searching through a jumble of pieces.

These heat shrink tubes work extremely well. The apparent quality is high on my scale and wall thickness is greater than most of the shrink tubing I've used before. I made up three butt joints of various sizes and submerged them in water overnight, there was no sign of water intrusion in any of the joints. One of the larger pieces of tubing was slipped over a wire nut containing two wires and shrunk using a heat gun resulting in a very smooth tight professional looking fitting. See attached picture.
