A wonderful solution to cramps in those of us with larger hands
Do you have large paws? Do you find your hand cramping? Are you just a big person? These pencils are a total revelation for me! I love drawing but always end up taking frequent breaks because of cramping. After decades of assuming this was 'just how it is' these pencils have changed my life and I don't want to have to ever use a slim pencil again.In addition to this they do, of course, have more graphite in them so you can get really versatile if you let the tip wear down to a fat rounded point. And the quality of the graphite is fantastic, dark and smooth. Now if only they'd make some H models to match!Be sure to buy the matching pencil sharpener too, it has a longer and sharper angle than the one's you find in typical pencil sets and is much more suited to getting the best from these.

Lovely pencils
Lovely smooth lead. Can be shaved to a good long lead for shading, without it breaking too easily. Work very well.

All the advantages of a graphite stick but in a pencil casing!
These are great sketching pencils. The larger size makes them more comfortable to hold, and because the graphite is thicker, its less prone to breaking, yet still allows for a very sharp point. I use a sharpener with a large hole for bigger pencils, but can see how it would also be easy to use a knife to sharpen.One big bonus is using the side of the graphite to shade.In effect all the advantages of a solid graphite pencil but without the downsides of breakages and graphite stained fingers!

Arrived much more quickly than expected. Well packaged and protected so condition was excellent. Pencils add a new dimension to my art and they complement very well the regular 9000 set. Would not hesitate to recommend this set.
