Compact Reed Switch
Brought to make up a trial Assembly with 4 Switches in a small space, for which these were great

Very good! Better than the glass ones...
I ordered a few of these after breakages and contact failures of some glass reed-switches I purchased earlier. These are a lot easier to use and don't break! They seem very reliable (more so than the glass ones which sometimes just "forget" to work) and although it's nice to be careful when bending wires, you can be a lot more confident with these ones. For the installation I was using (modifying an organ pedalboard with 30 contacts), it's quite easy to knock the glass switches and break them, and although I've only replaced a few with these plastic ones, I'm sure I will be ordering more as the others fail.

Some problems
I liked the plastic encapsulation which meant the wires could be bent with more confidence. Installed 4 switches as momentary sensors on a model railway but had to replace 1 as it failed after a couple of days, stuck in the on position. When this happened to another which was awkward to remove I tapped it with a screwdriver and it worked again. Is now working okay but will have to see what long term reliability is like.

Much better than the glass one’s
More heavy duty . Used for door light control circuit.

Small neat and effective
The switches are small and ideally suited to the use I am putting them to.I am using them to control colour light signals on a model railway and they have to be mounted between the rails on the track

Durable switches
The plastic cases are more durable than glass switches. I use them as sensors for model railway ! I find that positioning of the magnet on the loco is important in the operation of the switches. Think it's due to interference from the loco motor
