Great feeling controller
My expensive Razer Wolverine controller has always been pretty mid but dealt with it because I spent so much money on it. The buttons were hard to press for me. It finally started having response issues and I decided it was time to upgrade. I looked at several controllers and spoke to friends on what they recommended and this one was the top of the list. It's price point made me nervous but decided if I didn't like it I could just return it. My god am I glad I got this controller. For feel and quality, I probably would have spent $80+ on it. It's definitely worth the money, and the option to have black or white is really nice too. I have smaller hands and don't have issues with the size like the Wolverine.

G7 Controller for Series S|X is the Best Controller I’ve Ever Used!
I am absolutely blown away at how great this G7 controller is for my Series X. I initially sought this out because I have big hands (for reference, the fingers in XL gloves are about half an inch too short for me) and the stock Xbox Series controller was actually painful for me to use. I could see in photos that the G7 had a different shape, more vertical on the sides with longer grips, and other reviewers had said they felt it was much more comfortable, so I gave it a shot. I can confirm the G7 is a different shape, and for me, MUCH more comfortable to use. That’s terrific, but it turns out I actually love EVERYTHING about this controller more than the stock one. Here’s what I love about this thing: 1. The shape – The stock controller is narrow at the top and has a V shape with sharply angled sides. This causes my fingers to lay over the top and around the back of the controller where they interlace with each other. This makes the shoulder buttons very hard to press down on, and I have to actually curl my fingers back and hold them in an arched position to press the shoulder buttons. The grips are also too short and so my pinky and ring fingers kind of slide off the controller and cup the bottom of the grip. The sharp angle of the sides also caused my wrists to bend at an unnatural angle, and I have to keep my elbows out to the side to accommodate, which isn’t a natural position when I’m sitting down. It had reached a point I didn’t even want to touch the stock controller because it was making my wrists and hands ache. The G7 fixes all of that. You can see in photos that the outer edges run more vertically down into the grips. This makes a HUGE difference, so my wrists aren’t angled so sharply. I think it’s wider at the top as well, and my index fingers rest quite naturally on the shoulder buttons. The grips are also slightly longer and easier for my pinky fingers to wrap around. The differences are subtle, if you just glance at photos they almost look like the same controller, but the differences are enormous when I actually hold the controllers in my hands. The G7 is an absolute life-saver for me. 2. The buttons – This really surprised me. I’d read the buttons were different, but I really just wanted the G7 for the shape and figured I’d roll with the buttons however they were. Turns out the buttons feel amazing to me, maybe my favorite of any controller I’ve ever had. I kind of hate how loud and clicky the face buttons are on the stock controller, and I find they are so hard to press down that it actually starts to hurt the middle joint of my thumb over time. The G7 buttons are much easier to press down on but still have the nice clicky accuracy of the stock controller. They are also perfectly responsive and register inputs exactly as I expect them to. These are clickier than the PS4 controller, but not nearly as loud and clicky as the stock Series controller, and to me they feel exactly right. Same with the D-pad, which is surprisingly my favorite part of this controller. Any chance I get, whether it’s in game menus or playing a side-scrolling beat ‘em up, I will happily use the D-pad just because it feels amazing to press down on. Perfect amount of precision and clickiness but with a slight softness to it that I love. Similar to the face buttons, the D-pad also feels very precise and responds exactly how I expect it to. 3. The texture and overall feel – The back of the controller is textured with a firm rubbery feel, and it is noticeable as soon as I pick it up. Huge difference from the hard plastic of the stock controller. Again, I had no interest or preference in this when I bought it, but it has became one of the many things I love about the G7. It just feels so secure and comfortable in my hands, and along with some wonderfully textured analog sticks and the super responsive buttons, I feel like I have complete control over what I’m doing in-game at all times. This thing is a joy to pick up and hold. 4. Other stuff – There are mappable buttons on the back of the grips, one on each side. I actually didn’t like these at first and found myself awkwardly pressing down on them accidentally while playing. They weren’t mapped to anything yet so it didn’t affect the game, but it still felt weird in my hands. But two things happened: 1. my hands and fingers adjusted to the buttons being there and I never press them accidentally now, and 2. I chose to map L3 and R3 to them and have found that to be a huge improvement in comfort and just satisfaction with the gameplay experience over pressing down on the sticks, which I’ve never loved on any controller. Playing a first person shooter where L3 and R3 are used for run and melee feels so awesome and satisfying with those back buttons now. Also, I am a huge fan of the cord. My specific gaming setup does not involve pets or kids etc and so a cord doesn’t bother me, and I actually prefer it over the batteries so I’m not always getting a notification that the batteries or battery pack is low. This thing is just always ready to go. The cord is a nice woven one as well, and like everything else on this controller, feels very high quality. Plus, this controller pays for itself just from the cost of batteries or rechargeable battery packs. The swappable face plates also sit snugly and securely, to the point I would never even know they were there. Lastly, the controller came with a code for a month of free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which is a $15 value. That wouldn’t matter at all if I didn’t like the controller, but considering how much I love the G7 itself, the code is like a cherry on top. Okay, I know this has been a long review, but a couple final thoughts: Before buying the G7, the PS4 controller was my favorite to date. The Series S|X stock controller was my least favorite controller of any recent console generation (much worse to me than the 360 controller, which I liked and used for many years with no issues), and it had actually begun to ruin my experience with my Series X and made me want to not play any more. Mercifully, the G7 has completely transformed my experience with my Series X. Not only is it a huge step up from the stock controller for me, but after spending some time on my PS4 recently, I can say the G7 is definitely my favorite controller ever. I get excited just to use it. I will literally be at work sometimes thinking about how much I love the texture and buttons on this thing. Everything about the G7 is so well thought out and the craftsmanship is remarkably high. This is all subjective, of course, you may not like the feel of the buttons or the texture etc. and the cord might be a hassle for you. And a lot of people love the stock controller as-is. But at the very least, if you have large hands like me I would 100% recommend giving this a shot, as the shape of it has been an absolute life-saver for me. I have had this for almost three months now playing several times a week, and it has been perfect. If anything goes wrong with it I will update this review, but considering how incredibly well made every part of the G7 feels, I expect to get many years of use out of it.

Good controller but…
Loved the controller for 7 months. Hair triggers are great, microswitch buttons feel great, software is easy to use. About two weeks ago the controller began to disconnect intermittently. It is now unusable. When compared to the Elite S2, it’s a better value. I’ve found they usually last 12 months for 3x the cost if not more. Enjoyed it until the connection issue, still searching for a reliable controller that has extra features.

Returned the Turtle Beach Ultra Stealth for this
This controller perfectly met my desires and needs. I had the Turtle Beach Ultra Stealth and for the price I was honestly disappointed. I bought this controller instead that same day I repacked the Ultra Stealth to return it. The tactile feedback on the XYAB and D-Pad for the Ultra Stealth felt mushy and I found myself pressing the buttons harder than necessary. With this controller the buttons have a much more pleasant clicky feeling that is still soft to the touch. The Left and Right bumpers are easier and smoother to oress than a Standard controller as well. The the two extra programmable buttons are perfectly placed and I feel as if two is just enough for me. However some players may have a need for four or more. I would say that this controller is a little smaller and slimmer than a standard controller but I feel this with a good thing for the majority of players as I myself have very big hands and this has not been a issue of comfort for me. The only potential con I can see some people having is the controller being wired but for me I prefer wired as I get the peace of mind of knowing there is no input latency what so ever. 5 out of 5 stars for me. Well done.

This controller was awesome.... for 3 months.
I ordered this controller in August after my original XBox controllers fell victim to stick drift. I stream, and play FPS games competitively, and due to the nature of the environment, it's important to have a solid responsive controller. I looked into Scuff, Battle Beaver, and a few other of the higher end companies that sell modded controller options, when I ran across GameSir. I should have listened to my gut, but the price and the fact that they seemed to offer the same features that their much more expensive competition offers made me whole heartedly want to give them a try. The controller delivered quickly, and upon first inspection, the unit seemed like a very high quality purchase. It was super easy to set up, and playing with it was flawless. At first I was more than happy with my purchase. Fast forward 3 months, and still no stick drift as advertised.... now the sticks just lock into position, and the buttons stick. Awesome. My entire gaming career is now put on hold because I now need to purchase another controller. Why you may ask? Because GameSir doesn't honor their warranty if the controller is purchased on Amazon (eventhough GameSir is the official seller). So kudos to GameSir for giving Scuff another life long customer. I truly wanted to love this controller, and despite the issues, had their customer service stood up to their competitions, I would have continued to love this controller. But the fact of the matter is, you get what you pay for I guess. This time, I just paid for a more expensive, yet less expensive piece of junk. Save yourselves alot of time and heartbreak and shell out the money for a Scuff or Battle Beaver or the like, and pass on the G7... as much as it seems to be in the same league as the others, it falls short on so many levels, mostly on the customer service end sadly.

Two year update
Two year update, still no stick drift. Has worked perfect, durability is fantastic and works great with all games I play. Only replacing now because the grips in the back are falling apart. Highly recommended

Fantastic Controller
Has superior build quality and way more features than the oem xbox controller for a better price. Very comfortable. The usb c cable is very durable and fits very snug. Swappable faceplates is a nice touch. Small features like the built in mic mute button are really nice improvements. Some people might not like that it is wired, but i enjoy not having to fuss with charging or replacing batteries and the cable is quite long. Honestly wish I would've bought one of these ages ago.
