Works even better than expected
After trying some of the cheaper alternatives, that either didn't work well or broke quickly, this one just does what it's meant to. Start off towards the coarsest settings as the ice is still finely crushed but it works much faster.Initially I didn't think it was working, until I realised the forward/reverse switch was wired backwards, so I just use reverse now.All the water left after ice has melted drains through a tube, so there's very little cleaning to be done.It hasn't jammed on me once, unlike some of the cheaper options and it isn't phased if 2 or 3 ice cubes go in stuck together, or with -20C rock hard ice from the freezer.While it's by no means silent, it is much quieter than others I've tried.Can shave enough ice, fine enough for a slushie, to fill a pint glass in about 30 sec.There are a lot of cheaper alternatives, but this will probably work out cheaper in the long run and do a much better job.
