This is a good probiotic for digestive issues. It has spore based probiotics and sacchromyces boulardii which is a probiotic yeast that helps displace bad bacteria. Ginger is listed in the prebiotic blend. Ginger is also a good prokinetic or motility activator. Some other probiotics too. I used this as I was recovering from a food poisoning bout of IBS. Only thing I don't love is that sunflower oil is listed in additional ingredients. It's the last ingredient.

My mom had to take a boatload of IV antibiotics and antifungals for over a month, her PCP recommended the highest cfus I could find of probiotics (which was this one), as well as Bulgarian yogurt. She takes this every day - I'm not sure how we'd know if probiotics are working or not. Her GI doc said it certainly can't hurt, but that commercial probiotics tend to be "a drop in the ocean" of what we actually need. It's on auto-ship, easy to swallow. Capsule with powder in it.

I really liked the original probiotics from physicians choice as it helped greatly with the chronic bloating and gas I've suffered day in and day out for most of my life. It made such a huge difference to my personal feeling of well being that I was excited to try this different supposedly better formula however it just wasn't for me. I couldn't stop farting the entire month I was on the pills, it seemed I had more gas then I did without any probiotic even after giving my body the chance to adjust. All in all I soon switched back to the original one as it just works better for me.
