My dog doesn’t like toys, but he does play with this!
If you have a dog like mine, who has a toy box full of toys that you bought thinking they’d love them, only to find that they ignore every single one of them and looks at you like you’re mad when you try to get them to play, this clam toy is what you’re looking for!Once they realise the toy holds food and treats they’ll soon go running after it when you throw it! Once caught they then have to use their brain to get through the Velcro to open it and get the treats out, which is great to get their brain working. If you work out how to get them to bring it back to be refilled rather than just look at you until you eventually give in and walk over to do it please let me know, my dog thinks fetch and bring are human tasks, and he’s not changing his mind even for ham.I also attach it onto a flirt pole (well it’s actually a horse lunge but it works really well for us) and use it as a lure toy that he can chase and catch. That way he’s getting exercise and using his brain to work out how to catch it and how to get the food out. So far it’s held up really well to this, I just have to make sure I’ve tied it on tightly so we don’t have it fly over the fence!I like this a lot, the Velcro holds really well compare to other clam toys we’ve had that stop holding together after a couple of uses, the coachi has always closed and held the food well even months later. If it breaks in the future, I’ll defiantly buy another one.

Good tug toy
Good tug and chase toy. Long length and soft handle and material. Crinkle sound helps get puppy excited. Has now been ripped apart including rope part after just a couple of months but my puppy enjoyed playing with it while it lasted.

Ingenious idea. Why haven’t I seen this before?!?
I have 3 very restless toy poodles. I have so many enrichment toys when I saw this I was thinking … it looks so simple?! How can that compete with all the snuffle mats, lick mats etc,But it provides a completely different experience,The handle allows for easy tug of war,It’s so simple and quick to set up, shove a piece of treat in the middle, close up and you’re good to go!It’s great as you can quickly alternate between tug of war, throw/fetch/chase, problem/puzzle solving of them trying to figure out how to open it, and then them ripping open the Velcro pads and them feeling like they have opened a animal to feast when they get the treat. It delivers on so many instinct and sensory levels.Plus nothing to wash up or clean after. Very well made which is a massive plus,Absolutely belter of a toy!

Not great as a treat toy but OK as a tug toy
A few strands came loose within hours. I love the bungee rope but the biggest issue is the pocket you put the treats in, is the entire length of the tail. There is no way a dog can get to the treats I tried and the only way was to put my hand in the opening and grab them.I'll go back to tug e nuf for tug toys. Last one lasted over a year.

Larger than expected but dog likes regardless
Size was given in item description but I expected it to be smaller. It would be quite useful if it was photographed with say a tennis ball to give a better idea of scale. It seems well made and sturdy. My JRT sized dog still likes it as a toy but finds it difficult to open so we play with it flat or partially closed.

The first and only toy she’ll play with outside of the house! So worth the money
I love this toy! My puppy doesn’t even care about the treat inside the toy, she just loves chasing after it then carrying it using the handle. She carries it throughout the length of the park. The first and only toy she’ll play with outside of the house! So worth the money. The only thing that would be helpful could be a clip to hand it on the end of the lead/bag so I don’t end up carrying it but I’ve just used a spare carabiner clipIs there any way of adding more than 5 stars?!? ❤️🔥🔥

Durable
Had it for about 3 weeks so far. My son plays with the puppy with it. Sometimes the puppy plays by himself. Hasn't brok yet. Very durable. The material is tough. Great purchase. This is his main toy he plays with.

Dog Loves It
Works well as a treat dispenser but also as a tug toy

Love it
I really love this tug toy! It’s long enough that I don’t have to bend over or kneel down to play with my puppy and he likes it. The nylon piece woven in really helps the integrity of the toy and it feels well made. The only issue I had was that it pulled two baby teeth out! But that wasn’t the toy’s fault and more the intensity of our play. We won’t be playing a hard game of tug until all his baby teeth are out now, but I’ll still use it to get engagement with him, just no hard tugging.

Ripped easily
Love this toy, and so does my dog. She’s not a dog who is generally hard on toys, but the opening ripped to the handle on our first use. However, the toy is still very useful, lots of fun and appealing to the dog, and the rest of the construction seems solid. Good size, handle is well reinforced and it keeps sharp dog teeth away from your hands. Our agility coach was very interested! A water bottle would probably fit inside; small treats would likely get lost and be difficult to remove.

Great purchase
After 2 years of fun in the backyard, the purebred BC destroyed the outside tug toy. It took me a while to find a replacement but this one has been perfect. The ball at the end isn’t as hard as the previous one (no yelps when they shake it), the bungee is great for tugging and the rope is a perfect length to grab and throw it. Would recommend.
