This is not a crypto wallet but a backup for your OneKey wallet. It’s a cool and easy way to store your keys. You have to use it with the OneKey app but I’ve read that you can import other wallets into the app. I haven’t tried though. Out of the box, you can use this to backup either the app’s hot wallet or the OneKey hardware wallet (sold separately). Or both, if you get more of these. You can only backup one set of seed phrases. It’s nice that it fits in your wallet but I see no reason to carry this around unless you’re really afraid of forgetting your hot wallet login or losing your cold wallet. If traveling, it might be good to take along as a secure backup for your cold wallet, and of course, kept separate, somewhere safe. Other than that though, I’d feel more comfortable keeping this in a safe or security deposit box. If there’s one rule that’s constant, it’s that anything can be hacked. Also, I wouldn’t want to trust this to be your only backup for your keys. Being hardware, it can break. If you snap this in two, you’ve lost your keys. So really, the best use for this would be for travel, as I suggested above, or for those who live on the blockchains and need a backup on them at all times. You’d still want your keys also stored in your safe back home just in case. I have the OneKey Classic hardware wallet, and it is great. Very easy to use and supports most, if not all, coins. The OneKey lite is a perfect companion to it.

This is my favorite seed backup option. Compact and inconspicuous as much as it can be. I have a couple cryptosteels plates with slide in letters. They are overpriced for what they are and feel kind of cheap. Durability of the onekey is top notch being titanium. The 2X24 word seed + 25th word is great. Get these backup plates.

From the photos I thought the tiles were single-sided & 1 had words 1-12 & the other had 13-24. However, when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised that they are double-sided so you can do 2x24 word phrases (or 2 copies of 2.)

It is important to realize that a crypto wallet is simply a container for a public and private key, the crypto that you possess is stored elsewhere in a blockchain and accessed via the wallet ID and keys. The keys and ID are created from a secret phrase of twelve random words, so a wallet can always be recreated if the phrase is known. In fact, the same crypto wallet can exist in multiple devices simultaneously. Saving the phrase is cumbersome and MUST be done securely. The OneKey Lite does an awesome job for me simplifying a quick backup and restoration of the phrase for a single wallet. Using the OneKey app two clicks will back up or restore the phrase from the card. A pin code protects the restoration of the key from the card, so if it is lost or stolen it is useless for someone else! Every card has a unique ID engraved on the back. If you are using multiple cards to backup the phrases for multiple wallets, I would suggest keeping a secure list that maps wallet names to the corresponding card.

From the encrypted method to record a seed phrase, to the tiny, inconspicuous seed plate, and even the beautiful packaging, everything is top of the line---until you go to punch the plate with the completely useless punch tool provided. No mater how much force I applied, I literally could not get the included punch to make a single hole in the plate. I had to purchase a new punch that worked. For the price, the included punch should work flawlessly. For that reason I subtracted two stars. The new punch I purchased worked with ease, required minimal force, and caused me no pain while using the tool. For those willing to accept that fact that they too may have to purchase a punch that works, I recommend this seed storage system.

It took me a little bit of work to understand exactly what the OneKey Lite would do compared to the OneKey mini that I have recently setup. The OneKey Lite only backs up your passphrase, but not your wallet. That's an important distinction. Setup is as easy as can be with the OneKey app. I did have a little difficulty getting the OneKey Lite detected by my phone, but it worked the second time I tried it. To check if the OneKey Lite was storing my passphrase, I tried to backup another account, and the app detected that the key was already storing a passphrase. With as many scams are there have been in the crypto world for the last decade and a half, it's hard to trust any semblance of convenience with your crypto assets. Any sort of digital storage is prone to security breaches (it all started with Mt.Gox!). For any assets that you can't afford to lose, keep them all in cold storage, offline, no digital signatures.

The concept of this Onekey card could use as cold storage, if only if after the backup card activated, the App in mobile must destroy delete it for safety because the key still accessible in the App. The Amazon store content for this Onekey Lite misled people by advertise include multi-cryptos. Die Platten haben eine ordentliche Qualität und sind optisch ansprechend gefertigt. Das beiligende Werkzeug ist allerdings von sehr minderwertiger Qualität. Nach etwa 20 Stanzungen kamen die ersten Fehlfunktionen. Diese wurden dann immer häufiger und nach 50 Stanzungen hatte ich 80% Aussetzer. Ich habe dann mit einem einfachen Körner und einem Hammer weitergearbeitet. Außerdem verstehe ich nicht, warum nicht mit der BIP 39 Liste gearbeitet wird, die mit Wort "0" beginnt, dann ließe sich eine Spalte einsparen. (Die Spalte "2048" braucht man dann nicht.) Insgesamt ist die Ware für die gebotene Leistung zu teuer. Für 30-40 EUR wäre es OK. Allerdings war alles sehr hochwertig in einzelne Kartons verpackt und die Lieferung erfolgte sehr schnell.

Ottimo metodo per poter scrivere in modo abbastanza discreto la propria seed phrase...sui materiali niente da dire, sono spaziali!🚀 Molto comodo il punteruolo incluso ed il libretto con le somme già calcolate per ogni parola della Wordlist BIP39. La placchetta consente anche di poter segnarsi 2 parole aggiuntive, ovvero le passphrase. Un plus è che questa placchetta potrebbe essere anche cifrata secondo un proprio metodo personale di cifratura (che io non ho usato perché sfido chiunque a ricordarsi tra anni e anni il metodo di cifratura senza scriverlo da nessuna parte, il che farebbe calare drasticamente il livello di sicurezza) Ciò che conta, è come poi viene custodito e soprattutto dove :) Consiglio l'acquisto per tutti possessori di wallet, ma in particolare per chi vuole diffidare da hard wallet come ledger o simili, e creare il proprio wallet tramite il metodo dell'entropia (con i dadi, consiglio il video di TheCryptoGateway!) , in modo che la seed phrase non passi per nessun tipo di dispositivo.
