You can buy shorter lengths of cord and save a couple of pound, but it's better to have too much than not enough! This is very strong cord and much better than the one that came in the blind, it could also be used in and around the house/garden for other things. Very happy with the product. Nice and strong, much better than what was in the blind!
One of the cords frayed and then broke in one my French door 'perfect fit' blinds, I contacted someone about coming out to replace/fix it, they quoted £30 call out plus parts! but they couldn't fit me in for a couple of weeks. I saw this on here for £7.99 delivered and thought I'd take a gamble. As soon as it arrived I had a go at fixing the blind myself, one hour later and taking it slowly the blind was back up and working perfectly. I have enough cord left to do the other cord in the same blind if that breaks and even enough for the other French door blind if needed in the future. Perfect for blinds
I have used this to repair a few broken Perfect Fit blinds. It was so easy to thread along side the original cord before taking the old cord out I have now replaced all the cord in all of my 13 blinds. There was enough to re-cord 2 other blinds with cord left on the reel. Much stronger than the original cord that was fitted in the blinds. I definitely recommend this product. I am updating my initial review. I have two very large blinds that cover the centre picture windows which both have 4 rows of cord. Sadly due to the weight of each blind the 4 strings of cord have become very quickly worn and frayed and bunch together making it very hard to pull and release the blind. The smaller blinds are still working well. I will have to replace the larger ones again.

The best £10 investment EVER for repairing Thomas Sanderson conservatory blinds
When your fitted conservatory blinds fail and the prospect of either replacing these all of these or going cap in hand to Thomas Sanderson to ask for service, both will cost a small fortune. We had to remove all the blinds for some building work so examining the broken blind in detail showed this was going to be an easy fix if I could find some proper blind/pleat chord, thank you Amazon. Stumbled across this item which appears to be very slightly thicker than the original chord but perfect to fit the blinds. Another purchase for some blunt large eye needles and we were in business and off threading. Out with the old broken chord and in with the new chords, a little time spent working on the internal tensioner mechanism and we were back and working.

Good stuff for re-cording a window blind
Cord wore out on one of our patio door blinds so ordered this - great stuff just slightly thicker than the original cord and seems very strong. Heated the end up and joined it to the remains of the existing cord, pulled through the millions of holes back to the bottom of the blind, adjusted tension, tied off and refitted blind. Back in action. May even record the other before it wears out as well

Smaller diameter than expected
Product arrived quickly and was well packed and resembled the picture. However, it is supposed to be 1mm in diameter and it was less than that rendering it unsuitable for my application so I returned it. Found some 1mm in a local craft shop which really was 1mm which has done the job.

Strong quality cord
We have conservatory blinds (14 of them) each is supported by cotton cord and spring mechanism, we replaced a whole blind last year when it collapsed at £200, this year one collapsed, so ordered this cotton cord and a set of springs and sorted it myself for less than £20, bargain price, robust and strong, quality stuff.

Excellent Product
Great stuff , I used it as cord for the folding sun blinds on my Conservatory doors after the cats kept chewing the old stuff causing the blinds to collapse. They haven't managed to chew through this - Yet !

Cordón para subir/bajar persianas venecianas. Acabo de sustituir los 4 cordones de una persiana que se habían roto y éste parece de mucha mayor calidad que el anterior. Es una pena que sólo lo haya en color blanco. Por las características parece que aguantará bien la fricción. En cuanto al sol ya no lo tengo tan claro, pero le daremos un voto de confianza. También confío en que la bobina contenga 100 metros, ya que esto no lo he comprobado (necesitaba mucho menos, pero las de 50 ó 20 metros eran de otro grosor y/o material). Me llegó por SEUR a un punto de entrega de esta compañía, y tardó sólo un día.

Avevo bisogno di un cordino da 1,00 mm da sostituire alla tendine oscuranti plissettate ormai usurate...Non trovando nulla nei negozi fisici mi sono affidato ad Amazon che come al solito non ha tradito le mie aspettative ..Articolo perfetto come originale in robustezza e colore . Qualità- prezzo ok !!!!

Sehr gute Schnur. Plissee repariert. Das Problem das die Schnüre immer wieder reißen, sind eigentlich die Schnurdurchführungen aus Konststoff, die sich einschleifen und die Schnur ausfransen bis sie reißt. Habe Schnurdurchführungen aus Aluminium gebastelt (aus 5mm Blindnieten) jetzt läuft alles super.
